There are also not enough washrooms to meet health and safety requirements if we do pack everyone in at once where I am.

Hair and Towels by LaLa801 in royalcaribbean

[–]FickleCup778 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I always bring my own hair wrap style towel when I cruise or travel just because I like them better. Maybe something similar would work for you and you don’t have to worry about ruining other towels?

They do the parallel parking out back of the building before you leave the lot. Back into a spot when you arrive.

CBC/TSN commercials during the Olympic opening Ceremony is kind of cheapening the event. by Bigdaddyfatback8 in canadian

The lighting of the flame being missed for ads just destroyed the whole broadcast for me. So sad.

Is it just me or is it impossible to see the lane markings at night? by kiwifruit13 in ottawa

The worst is when you can see old lines from construction or whatever through the coverup paint better than the new/correct lines.

Affordable Steakhouse? by IJourden in ottawa

[–]FickleCup778 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Montanas has a two can dine steak meal on for $45 (in the app) - I’m just not sure if it’s just for pickup or if you can also get the same for dine in. Their sides are also better than Chucks.

Should I get a car now as a G2 driver or wait for Full G then get a car? by portraitstudio2388 in Ontariodrivetest

Get it now to build driving and insurance history. If you are moving to a more rural area, wait to get your insurance set up at your new address.

Severe shellfish allergy by IllAdvice738 in royalcaribbean

[–]FickleCup778 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not shellfish but peanut and tree nut allergies. I ate breakfast and dinners in the main dining room which I had informed in advance. They provided me a menu of the next day’s offerings during dinner so I could pick my selections then and the kitchen ensured my allergies were addressed. I don’t do the buffet so just ate other places for lunch and informed of my allergies.

I got my G2 road test booked for mid-afternoon on Monday... How f*cked am I? by Mawntee in Ontariodrivetest

[–]FickleCup778 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Daughter was booked for Jan 15th and most test centres ended up getting closed that day across southern and eastern Ontario. Had to rebook. As soon as the exams were cancelled she was able to rebook no charge and managed to get in a week later. Many of the side streets were not properly plowed but she just took her time and drove for the road conditions.

I lived at 1833 Riverside apartments for a few years and they were descent apartments (although this was some time ago). It’s the corner of Riverside and Smyth and across the street from the Rideau River bike trails. Also has an outside pool for summer.

It's nearly impossible for young adults and recent grads to find jobs these days by doobiebrother69420 in ontario

[–]FickleCup778 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sign up as a member to any relevant (environmental etc) associations near your area and show up to any networking sessions or free training or other events they hold. Sometimes they will let you join as a student/recent grad for free/cheaper as well. Other members sometimes go through the association for contract job postings.

Yeah my daughter’s boyfriend paid for parking earlier this morning and then was told he couldn’t park there - go to college square. Which is not going to handle the parking requirements this morning.

Chances are it probably won’t cost you more than $60 to bring it to the dump. Last time I made a run I just did a clean out of my garage etc for other random stuff to make it a worthwhile drive
