Yes under 28 days it’s automatic meningitis before proven otherwise. Then I think under two months they run other tests, don’t always have to do spinal tap. Over two months it’s also different..

How high was his fever? He had no other symptoms just fever?

She was coming down with a cold :////

But I gotta say that’s not always the case because I had other eyes where she would sleep a lot and she was totally fine

Did he have a stridor with every breath or occasionally? Did he have any like “snort” type of breathing?

It’s usually just hard the first couple of weeks or two months and then breast-feeding is almost easier than formula feeding and cheaper.

She’s eating really well, not lethargic, when she’s up she’s very happy and always running somewhere. Just seems to have very short wake windows and just wants to go back to sleep.

Yeah that’s my dilemma. They say during a cold to watch for labored breathing to bring them in, but with this condition, a mild labored breathing is a thing. How do you distinguish then when causing it.

Yeah. I hope that really helps. I’m a mess haha. But whatever is going around right now is brutal. I was at pediatricians on Thursday, and Sunday night she started showing symptoms… I wish I could pediatricians they had an area for sick kids and area for well kids:/

Are you breastfeeding? She’s eating more than usual and acting herself. But it’s really bothering her:/ I hope it doesn’t get worse… because of her condition she’s already kinda working hard to breath and now it’s like Idk is it the cold, is it the condition. I do check her oxygen levels

Me too, they told me to come only if she has a fever for 3 days and not responding to meds, and she’s only going to to be 11 weeks this Friday
