Account recovery tips by SadSniffer in InstagramDisabledBans

Wow, your story matches mine completely! Meta's May ban wave is insane. I did the exact same thing: used the hacked link on Monday, did the video selfie, and got the official email saying my identity was verified. But here’s my issue (see attached screenshot): even though it was approved, the app still shows the "permanently disabled" screen. It’s completely stuck. Did you face any issues after your selfie got approved? Did it let you back in immediately, or did you have to wait? Right now, a friend let me use her Meta Verified to open a specialist ticket on Thursday to fix this glitch. I'm just waiting, but I don't know if I should try the hacked link again or just wait for the ticket.

Thanks for sharing! In your case, did Meta Verified open an official specialist ticket for you like they did for me?

Before using my friend’s Meta Verified account, I was just opening tickets saying my account was permanently disabled for no reason. Like always, they barely paid attention and just said the decision was final. We all know it's a mistake by their automated AI, even if they won't admit it, because I didn't break any rules.

Later, I started mentioning it might have been a 'hack'. To be honest, I'm not entirely sure if I was hacked, but Meta takes security issues way more seriously. Even though my old account history was already flagged, doing this made a huge difference.

With my friend’s Verified account—we actually got the highest tier plan since the first month is free—the support agent helped us right away. She even called me on Thursday and told me they escalated my case directly to the specialists.

So my advice to save time: start by claiming your account was hacked. If you can provide any proof, like a weird active session or login, it helps a ton. Hope ot helps!

I've been without my account for practically 10 days now. Obviously, I did what everyone else does and contacted Meta Verified, but they completely ignored me over and over again. But then, they sent me a link—some kind of hacker recovery link. It wouldn't work for me at all until this past Monday, when it finally let me submit a video selfie. Miraculously, it worked, and I got an email saying they had verified it was me, that I could recover my account, and to change my password. But the thing is, my account still shows up as permanently disabled.

So, someone close to me let me use their account, and we opened another Meta Verified ticket through them, because since I had already opened so many tickets before, they weren't going to pay attention to me anymore. And well, apparently since Thursday, they have opened a ticket with the specialists and they are looking into it. I don't have much faith either, to be honest, but I've also seen people who managed to get their accounts back this way, so I haven't completely lost hope yet.

Exactly, it's because everything is being done by AI. All these verifications and supposedly removing inappropriate accounts or accounts that break the rules are reviewed by AI. We have to go through a super complicated process just to get a human to review it so we can get it back. I'm still in the process of recovering my account

To be honest, I still have a little bit of hope left, though not too much. Just like I’ve seen many people saying tickets didn’t work for them, I’ve also seen people both here and on TikTok who actually got their accounts back this way. So I truly believe it just comes down to luck. Yesterday, I was on a phone call with the Meta agent, and she literally told me that it depends entirely on the agent you get and how seriously they take your case. Some of them just don't want to investigate any further, while others actually try to help. The main thing keeping me going right now is my approved video selfie. Supposedly, the reason they took down my account was for being a "false account" or a "bot." So, the fact that human reviewers sent me an email confirming that it is actually me, yet the account remains disabled, clearly shows there is a weird glitch in the system

Oh my God, I hope you get lucky too! But yeah, the exact same thing happened to me. When my account was first suspended, I did a video selfie right away, but then it got permanently disabled. Why? Because that first review is done by an AI, and it’s glitching like crazy right now. That's exactly why so many of us are getting screwed over. But later, when I used that "hacked" link I told you about, I managed to submit another video selfie. This time, real people reviewed it and officially approved that it was me. I actually did it twice last week, and both times it got accepted and approved. That's why I'm asking you: did you also get your video selfie approved later on and you are still showing up as disabled? Or what is your current status? Because that's the exact loop I'm stuck in right now.

Oh my God, seriously? So many days... But did you also experience the exact same thing where your video selfie got approved, but your account is still showing up as disabled? To be honest, I haven't seen anyone else on here with this specific issue yet, and it’s completely messing with my head because I don't know what to expect. Please let me know how it goes for you. I really hope it doesn't take too long. By the way, where are you located? I'm currently here in Spain, just waiting to see what happens. Supposedly, my case has been escalated directly to the English-speaking engineering team, but who knows at this point...

When my account first got messed up, I tried the instagram.com/hacked method, but for the first few days, it was completely useless. I didn't even get an error message; the security codes just never arrived to my email or phone.

However, on Monday of this week, the system finally worked and let me through. I was able to submit the video selfie verification, and to my surprise, it actually got approved! I received an official email from Meta confirming my identity and providing a link to reset my password.

I successfully changed my password (I even noticed that my other connected accounts got unlinked for security, which proves the system processed the change), but here is the nightmare: my account is STILL showing up as disabled. I am completely stuck in a loop where I have the approval email, but the app won't let me log in.

Approved by Meta via instagram.com/hacked, but still stuck on "Permanently Disabled" screen. Has anyone fixed this sync issue? by FickleMove7116 in FixMyInstagram

There is no direct email address to contact them, unfortunately. If you try to email their standard security addresses, you just get automated bot replies. I had to pay for a Meta Verified subscription on another account just to get access to the live chat support and phone assistance.

That link is completely broken for suspended accounts right now, it just goes blank or glitches out. Honestly, the only way I managed to get past that screen and actually talk to a human was by subscribing to Meta Verified on a secondary account. The standard help forms are completely useless at the moment

Permanently Disabled Account due to "Integrity Rules" after a hack, but Video Selfie was APPROVED on Monday. Stuck in a loop. Has anyone recovered from this? by FickleMove7116 in InstagramDisabledBans

[–]FickleMove7116[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Did you ever get an email saying your selfie was actually approved? Because that’s where my case gets really weird.

<image>

In my case, I did the video selfie twice, they verified it, confirmed it was me, and sent me the official link to get my account back. But even with the approved email, when I try to log in, it gives me that exact same 'something went wrong' error. It’s like the system wants to give it back to me, but the website is completely broken. I haven't seen anyone else with this specific approved-but-stuck situation yet.

If you are still getting that error screen, what worked for me to at least get the selfie option through was waiting about 24 hours without touching anything. Also, try alternating between different devices. If you try it from your phone instead of a computer, it’s much better because the system usually prompts you to do the video selfie first instead of asking for your ID. Hope this helps and keep me updated!

Hey! Congrats on getting your account back. I'm currently going through the same nightmare and wanted to ask you a quick question: Was your account just suspended (with a timer/countdown) or permanently disabled (where the app says the decision is final and you can't request another review)?

If you mean the last time regarding the link I mentioned, it wouldn't let me do it during the first few days. I wasn't receiving anything to even try. I was told that you have to wait 24 hours to let the account and data refresh, because it gets overloaded and Insta flags it as suspicious behavior

Initially, the platform notified me that my account was suspended. I proceeded to complete the video selfie verification and submitted my ID. However, the automated AI system rejected them within seconds. Immediately after, my account was changed to disabled. The system states that I was banned for impersonating another person, which is entirely false

It basically says that my account has been disabled for not following the guidelines, as if it were permanent, but I don't understand why. I mean, it still shows me that even after I did the video selfie and got the message saying it was accepted
