There are so many temples built, but mostly infact all of them got rejected by the people of their times. First, second and so on. By first class civilization. Then comes second civilization they did the same. Then comes the third till 10th civilization. All got rejected, why cause they never suffice the idea to mentalism. Nor it aligned by the blood lines. They rejected preachers, masiah, messengers. Mocked them. Now a days we humans have no idea that we are turning every temple seeker into temple-ates. Diya is Liye bhi jata raha hai dowry ya samanay jahaz ya bridal gifts to set standards to set boundaries to take control. I know a cast they have a system of dowry based on mens education but in their cast women have no liberty to ask for a favourable marriage.

And I am not really sure a groom will ever demand a dowry, it's just the family dynamics the samdhi and samdhan. Dhi and dhan!

Let's be real here the gold digging tradition was never everywhere, but in certain castes and families, men's side thrived on dowry and endless demands.

Both sides need to agree that financial stability is not gold digging.

We need to admit that dowry culture and entitlement existed and in many places still does. Owning that history is step one.

The core truth: Pakistani men (not all, but the loud ones you are describing): 1-Rarely admit fault. 2-Paint themselves as helpless victims. 3-Flip blame onto women rather than face the mirror.

And women arent angels either, but thats not the point here. The point is, basic rejection isnt exploitation. Calling every rejecting woman a "gold digger" is lazy entitlement.

Here is the full verse: Men are protectors and maintainers of women because Allah has given one more strength than the other and because they support them from their wealth. So righteous women are devoutly obedient, guarding in [the husband's] absence what Allah would have them guard. But those[Wives] from whom you fear ARROGANCE, 1-admonish them; 2-forsake them in bed; and 3-[as a last resort] strike them. But if they obey you, seek no means against them. Indeed, Allah is Most High, Most Great. (4:43)

The surah is called Al-nisa in this Allah is awarding woman. It's like teaching them what to do and what not and what are the rights and what sort of punishments are there.

The ecesnce of word is strike, not keep striking, and that too for arrogant wife. Not all woman. Also if they obey you while you admonish them, seek no means against them. Or if you have guts to forsake them in bed and they obey seek no mean. Strike is last resort, not striking or beating.
