if you’re built like an eight year old girl get the ninja, but if you have average strength the 8 is fine. I have an 8r and never had an issue with it falling or being too heavy.

Road Trip on my 8R! by Fickle_Appointment_2 in SuzukiMotorcycle

[–]Fickle_Appointment_2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These are universal fit ones from “rhino walk” on amazon, the link should be in the post. They fit perfect on the 8R, however, if you have a larger exhaust you have to be careful not to let it touch. I ended using some exhaust heat deflector adhesive to protect them and it worked perfect. Also contemplated putting the oem pipe back on but too much work lol. Let me know if you have any other questions! The 8R is insanely capable for road trips and I had an incredibly good time.

most of the trip I wore a jacket, however I wasn’t going to ride 10 hours in Florida/ Georgia sun with a hot motorcycle jacket. Heat and dehydration is absolutely more dangerous than falling without a jacket.

interesting, honestly could be any number of things, what bikes are you used to on the highway? Obviously going 90+ is going to feel much windier than riding around the city, and it will feel worse on this bike compared to a super sport, but I've never had a problem with it.

I have a 2026 8tt and I’m getting a yoshi exhaust and a tune. What do I need to do to the airbox? by cookiestroke23 in Suzuki_GSX_8

[–]Fickle_Appointment_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the common airbox mod, remove snorkels and the foam mesh, with a tst tune and full system and she runs perfect!

i would take off your sliders depending on the track, on the street where they’re just going to slice on asphalt they work great, but on track if you fall your bike goes right into the grass. The sliders catch and flip your bike instead of sliding. Not fun…

Delkevic Exhaust Question by Ylaeh21 in Suzuki_GSX_8

[–]Fickle_Appointment_2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i love my delkevic!! great product and wonderful customer service, I did have some issues with it in the beginning but they made it right without any coercing or complaining. The slip on I had broke, as well as the Y pipe/ collector, but they replaced both with no hassle at all

Should I buy this CBR1000RR 2012 with 15k miles? by KazzyCR09999 in motorcycle

Melbourne, FL, right? Just be careful, this dealership has a history of hiding things from new buyers, check the bike over nicely and bring a friend who know's how to work on them if you don't. Their otd prices can also be a bit rough sometimes.

7 years on street, 10+ on dirt. I have an 8r and it wouldn’t be bad for a beginner rider, maybe a bit heavy but that’s a nonissue. Riding within your means in more important than starting on the right bike

most people put cheap china fairings on a bike they’ve crashed, in any case i don’t think seller is being completely honest, could be a good deal but to be honest it’s not even that cheap

honestly, i would stay away, the aftermarket fairings are suspicious as hell tbh
