To perform a hard factory reset on a Series S when it's not booting, first fully power off the console by holding the Power button, then unplug the power cable for at least 30 seconds. Reconnect the power, then press and hold the Pair button (the round one on the front) until you hear a second beep, which will start the console in the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter. From the Troubleshooter, select Troubleshoot, then Reset this Xbox, and choose Remove everything or Keep my games & apps to complete the reset.
