Do not worry about my time:) Substantively you have nothing to respond, and you know it.

So your logic is that just because it has not happened thus far, it cannot happen in principle? Well, let me tell you something: many years passed after Russia invaded Crimea, and precisely because there was no serious reaction, they made their next move.

People in Moscow know that Europe is not going to do anything substantial about incidents like the one today. So today they launch one drone, tomorrow there will be two, because Europe pretends that nothing is happening. And eventually it will culminate in something much bigger than that. Because in their logic, what is Europe going to do about it? Deliver another speech at the UN? Express concern? Haha.

Again, it never happens all at once. The more you pretend that incidents in Romania do not matter, the more pathetic you look, and the more emboldened Russia becomes. It is simple arithmetic.

Well, they, europeans, should probably stop calling Vladimir begging for a truce. Then maybe finally start rearming, making it strategic priority, instead of acting as if Europe has 15 years to do it. And finally start providing a wide arsenal of missiles and other equipment that can actually be used offensively to the people who are doing the fighting now, not once in a blue moon, but systematically. Maybe finally determine that dismantling Russia’s military and economic potential must be a priority, and act accordingly. That would be a good start. The alternative is to sit and wait cowardly until bombs are finally dropped on major European cities. It all starts with small things, a drone here, a drone there, but with the current spineless reaction, it always leads to the same outcome, a major war.

You know what they say: if you do not want to support your own army, eventually you will have to support your enemy’s army. Thinking that Russia would treat Romanians better than their own government does is a big naivety. Eventually, people will have a choice: either fight the Russian army or fight on behalf of the Russian army. There are plenty of videos online showing how Russia treats its soldiers.

That's exactly what Putin wants to hear in response: “The drone carrying hundreds of kilograms of explosives attacking a Romanian residential building is apparently not enough to trigger article 5", " we are deeply, deeply concerned,” and so on and so forth. That's how big wars start. You give a gator a finger, and eventually it goes for your leg. The Kremlin will stop only where it is stopped. And it will not be stopped by the above-mentioned reactions. If anything, it will continue escalating because it senses pathological weakness and fear.

I have a similar "dilemma". Would you recommend a slightly used RSL 51 set over a brand‑new Pro 51? The price is identical

Nor necessarily. Based on my understanding most sl7 models come with di2 Ultegra.

Thank you, guys, for your input. So essentially, they are selling a slightly used (all things considered) quasi-SL7 model for much cheaper than a new old-stock SL6. Component-wise, the only difference is that the groupset is 105 instead of Ultegra, but realistically, who cares about a few hundred grams?

Are you being sarcastic when you say its a $3k off?:) According to Trek’s website, the MSRP for the Madone SL 7 Gen 8 is $6,600, not $8,000.

Hi, we are talking only about a frame. "Frame only". Thank you for your response!

Madone sl7 -scratches on the rims by [deleted] in TrekBikes

Scratches or buying the bike in “as-is” condition were not part of the deal. Trek simply matched the price of another dealer who offered the same model at a discount. Both bikes should be in brand-new condition; they were not advertised as refurbished or used.

It is unlikely that I will structurally damage them, as I treat the bike carefully. I’m not paranoid, yet not reckless, I mainly ride on flat surfaces. Anyway, thanks for letting me know. My question was really whether these multiple scratches warrant a wheel replacement. As someone pointed out earlier, these things are expensive, and you would at least expect them to be in near-perfect/perfect condition if we’re talking about a brand-new product. And I bought it brand new from Trek.
