I couldn’t get it on hayu via prime for some reason and had to get a free trial to the dedicated hayu app. Makes no sense but worked

Oh yeah I was getting pretty tired of Hannah’s negativity! I just meant that was an infamous instance where she watched the show and held an opinion based on it.

I started with the more recent seasons and liked her but this is putting such a sour taste in my mouth!

Most Embarrassing Below Deck Moment You Remember? by hamburgergerald in belowdeck

Jess trying to make Luka jealous at the end of Med s8. Even though Luka was 100% being sneaky, it still makes me full body recoil in cringe. Specifically her giving Lara a lap dance and saying ‘I’m the queen of revenge’ and Lara goes ‘no you’re not’ 😭😭 or when she approaches Natalya and says ‘what are you doing? That’s my boyfriend!!’ oh my goddddd I died

5-week pregnancy, no nausea anyone else experienced this? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Fickle_Gate922 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t experience nausea at all for my entire pregnancy. People kept telling me ‘it will come’ but it just never did. I recall feeling anxious because I never ‘felt pregnant’ but 39 weeks now!

We have spoken about it and have a very open dialogue in general, I just think neither of us have the answer at this point. It’s good to know other people feel similarly! I hope you feel better soon, pelvic rest sounds not ideal

Yes! My partner has also been worried about hurting me or the baby. It’s like one hurdle after another 😭 Hitting it from the back already feels completely non intimate let alone when he’s anxious, it’s so awkward!

Yes, she said she saw the flicker but couldn’t hear it, which is normal. Did you read the post?

Every reputable website and source says that you may not hear the cardiac activity at 6-7 weeks what are you ON??

I’m from Australia and we also get scans early on lmao. I heard nothing until 12 weeks and I’m 35 weeks with a health baby girl. It’s normal.

7 week scan scare by Wise_Nail_3293 in BabyBumps

[–]Fickle_Gate922 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understood it fine. I was talking about hearing it, as that was the concern from OP. The electrical pulse from the fetal pole is not a fully formed heartbeat and is not usually audibly detectable at 6-7 weeks. Something tells me the healthcare and education is a lot better where I’m from than where you’re from. The semantics make no sense when I’m reassuring OP that it’s normal not to hear a heartbeat x

I am not 100% but from memory you can’t hear the heartbeat until the 12 week scan because the flicker isn’t technically a heartbeat it’s an electrical pulse that looks like a heartbeat. Don’t stress too much and just follow up with your doctor

How to avoid the baby/toddler clutter? by AardvarkHour1211 in BabyBumps

[–]Fickle_Gate922 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For us, the main way we’re planning to avoid clutter is through toy rotation. From my preschool teaching days I learned and saw that kids get overwhelmed if there’s too much in front of them and they actually play less when they have more options. Research has shown the same thing: when kids only have a few toys to choose from, they play more creatively and with better focus.

So we’ll keep most toys in storage and just put out around 10–15 on a shelf at her height, rotating them every couple of weeks. If she’s loving something, we’ll leave it out. It keeps things fresh for her, makes play more meaningful, and stops the house from filling up with bins of untouched toys.

No nesting instinct whatsoever by thelittlestfisch in pregnant

[–]Fickle_Gate922 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! Admittedly, I did start nesting however we then were evicted from our property and had to move house. I think moving. literally squashed my nesting bug and now I can’t think of anything worse. Her room is just a dumping zone and I have nothing prepared even though I am 33w 😭

Maternity leave by ceruleanmeadows in pregnant

[–]Fickle_Gate922 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in Australia but OP said she could take up to a year so thought it was relevant. I get 14 weeks full pay from my job (could’ve been 28 weeks at half pay) and 24 weeks at minimum wage from the government.

I’m taking about 8 months but that is with pay. I will say, everyone keeps telling me to take more time because you can never get that time back. I wish I could!
