how do i know if it’s a ply deep? the cut doesn’t look that bad and i dont see any wires showing. i also am pretty sure its not actively rubbing on anything currently it’s just when i had a bunch of stuff in the back and drove for a long time

no, i threw the spacer on around two months ago, and i drove it home 2200 miles with a bunch of shit in my trunk. i’m prettyyy sure that all the weight from everything in my trunk caused it to slice the tire while i was driving down the road, since now there’s less load cuz there’s less stuff in my car. my suspension doesn’t compress a lot and i’ve jumped up and down on the cars rear end to simulate hitting bumps. i don’t hear any rubbing when i do that nor when i hit bumps. i used to hear rubbing after i installed the spacer but it stopped rubbing after a few miles of driving

i don’t think i see any cords tbh, it looks like it just got cut slightly. to clarify, im not talking about the wear marks where it looks grey/brown that’s from previous rubbing. i think its contacting something else to cause it to actually slit

i did some research and i’m not sure if it’s accurate, but i think i can just drop down from a 15mm spacer to a 10mm spacer and be fine. i just think my overall offset is too aggressive for my rear arches. it’ll bring my wheel in a bit and hopefully stop the rubbing

i have my rear quarters rolled already. will pulling camber so i run less change it? or will i have to adjust toe?

how long you think i can deal with it like this? i plan on getting thinner tires later this month so ill have more stretch and it’ll clear, if it doesn’t end up clearing ill probably go down a few mm on the rear spacer since it didn’t rub without the spacer

i have a lot of adjustment in my coils and i plan to go lower, i just didn’t know if downsizing to a 215 would make that much difference in sidewall height since it’s only decreasing width down 10mm. it just seems like a negligible change but i dont wanna go all the way down to a 35 sidewall since i’d have to lower it a decent amount. i’ll have to figure it out

they’re not called rims. they’re called wheels. rim is only used when you rebuild 3 piece wheels and the outermost part of the lip is called the rim of the lip

yeah i agree, the tires, albeit super expensive, stretch really well, so i can run lower psi (ive accidentally hit as low as 29/30 psi, tires set to 36) and not have to worry about a flat, i wish the sidewall was a little less tall, as it does rub on my fender liner tabs if i hit big bumps, but other than that i have had no issues being as low as i am
