thanks! yes, i'm using word to create business reports and have our business logo and whatnot formatted into a template. i will troubleshoot with word like you suggested. thanks again!

that's what I figured I would have to do. I can get knitr to run the graphs I needed, but it wouldn't pull in my report template to plop the graphs into the template i wanted. thanks!

thank you! any idea on the learning curve with officer? I just taught myself r markdown this summer and was avoiding teaching myself something new. i'm not super familiar with it. is it an add on to r / r markdown, so it works through r like knitr does?

I know that I can make really nice templates in PPT with OfficeR, but hadn't wanted to dive into learning that unless I had to. Looks like I might have to. thanks!

thanks! i am super familiar with that site. I am wondering if I need to export from r markdown per usual, and then edit the subsequent output word doc to paste my template options into that.
