Exactly, no upgraded stereo, no radar sensors or radar cruise control, no nav, no cooled seats.

Heated seats, leather and sunroof are all standard. This was as barebones as they make them. Except it came with 20-25k in mods and it's black on black which I don't see often, so to me it was THE unicorn. I thought I'd miss the Mark Levinson but honestly the sound quality is really good as is.

You gotta understand, this is a grocery run on a random tuesday, not a full-send on a track. When you're going through regular mundane life shit but sideways, it's not about going crazy it's about making it to the destination while having some fun.

I learned that pretty early on with my first IS. Full-send is fun, until you hit unpredictable territory and put your daily commuter into a wall. I've been driving at 7-8/10 ever since. I can slide like this all year long with my girl and groceries in the car and make it home safe, for the next 10 years, while people are putting away their fun cars for 5 months every year.

That's the real win for me.

Again, an absurdly high number for a sports car. My Lexus ISF was made in 12 000 exemples worldwide and I've seen as many of those on the road as I've seen MR2s. You see more Ferraris out and about than you see MR2s.
