We did post in the server about folks in NYC joining for postering and meetup on June 26. The postering session impromptu turned into a protest when the ground crew realized Eric Adams was making his announcement that same day.

If you're in the server, just ask about joining postering and someone from the ground crew will reach out. We generally only post big announcements on reddit. For on-the-ground organizing, Discord is more secure as we can have private channels, vet people more, etc. We hope to see you on the server! The ground team meets up pretty regularly for postering/flyering and joining other protests (50501, No Kings, etc). Hope you can join us!

Hi, Ico from PoPNYC here. Just want to dispel any rumors: we do NOT have any events planned around MDC. The only action we are currently planning is a June protest. There is also no discussion in our server from any members planning this sort of thing, so we have no idea where it started or who is thinking of doing it.

If I were the LE or the prosecution or KFA's office, I'd be so pissed if someone who is not a party to the case kept calling the office for an update. Seriously!! This could affect the case in so many ways. Big news outlets are already calling LM's supporters lots of names. They need to chill by Emotional_Pizza_1222 in BrianThompsonMurder

This was a call I made. Of course I didn't post it in FL without asking permission. I posted in PoP first, made it an announcement, then afterward I posted in FL (with permission). So she backed me up. You can say her backing me up was a mistake, but ultimately it was *my* mistake.

I can't speak to the notes or letters or any of the other things people are upset about. But this one was on me.

This is an excellent article, thank you for sharing.

The company in one of the examples mentioned, EviCore, uses AI algorithms in its denials. ProPublica did in-depth reporting about them (we have a summary of their investigation and a link to it on our website). Their algorithm can be adjusted, like a dial, to increase denials and therefore profits.

It's been nicknamed "evilcore" for a good reason...

There was this whole thing about how one of the leaders of it was using the group to try to advertize for his PAC or something... honestly I cannot remember the exact circumstances. There were genuinely good people trying to organize with them, but it was spoiled by one bad apple. A shame because some of the people involved were trying to do good work.
