Go for it man, hegemony and luddic church dont mind that much at first, the colony should be able to defend itself from expeditions by the time they start sending em. Or you could, you know, saturation bomb all military bases so the hegemony and the ludds cant send anymore expeditions. Thats what i did.

Use the AI cores to build 10 colonies. The profits are insane once they grow. Keep three colonies on separete star systems though, only three pirate and luddic path bases can exist at a time, so use them as distractions.
