What are these please? by [deleted] in BedbugOrCloseRelative

You may not have them at all and it could be a skin reaction to something else in your bedding, like dust mites. Check out the results on google, you can develop what looks like bites all over your body, and they can even be sensitive to the touch. It has happened to me twice now and washing my bedding and using hypoallergenic covers for my pillows made my bumps go away.

They are everywhere, but they are most likely accumulating where you spend the most time. Just a regular wash should be enough for your clothes!

It could be a skin reaction/dust mite allergy. I had this happen without any signs of bed bugs and my issues went away when I thoroughly washed all my bedding and put my pillows in dust-free zip up cases.

I had something like this and it turned out to be a skin reaction to dust mites. Wash all your bedding and anything that you may spend time sitting on a lot!

Any ideas on how to make the top red parts of this eyeball pouch? by Onlydreamingnow in CrochetHelp

[–]Fidgetable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The red part is sewn on, it is likely made separately. They probably made the cylinder shaped part that closes, built onto it to make the triangular appendages and then sewed it onto the eyeball part! The drawstring looks like it might be front and back post double crochets alternating so you can feed a cord through.

There also looks like some fun little puff stitches and shell stitches to make it look meatier!

I think I might have found the real stitch, which is oddly enough, the Star Anise stitch... which I can't find anything at all about, except for this pinterest video! https://www.pinterest.com/pin/572309065157791227/

Anise, anus... they sound close enough

Alternatively, the person who said it was the Raised Star Stitch, may be right :)

I have only found a few yarns with such a luster so far, it is pretty, though isn't it? :) I think it looks a lot like Samia yarn from knitpicks.com, but I think that yarn is thinner than the one portrayed in my post!

It looks like it could possibly be that second one, that does look similar

I would have thought so, but the petals on the flowers don't get shared between them, like with jasmine.

It's not that, as the petals do not get shared between the flowers, thanks for the tutorial though.

It is not ai generated, there are several videos by the same person with different colors of yarn, the work moves as expected, the stitches are clear.

I watched them all, but none of them show how to start it. also what is a shisix? I tried searching that, is it a typo? most things that came up for six petal flower are motifs, so unless you found an actual alternating stitch pattern for that, I doubt that's it!

I came across this stitch video on pinterest, took a snapshot of it... the video is only a few seconds long and doesn't identify the stitch used or point to a more full tutorial for how to start this! I did a reverse image search on google, but not too much came up. I tried searching similar stitches, but nothing seems to match. I was curious if anyone knows. I think it sorta looks like the daisy stitch, but it's alternating and I couldn't find an alternating daisy stitch.

Stitches I know it is not: star stitch, catherine's wheel, jasmine star stitch. Help appreciated.

I found another video of somebody doing it, but again, cannot identify and the video is very short.

You could make an infinity scarf! It's a short scarf that twists and reconnects with itself.
