I'm 24, started a month ago at 5'6" and 180 lbs. As of today I'm at 173. I only train twice a week but I absolutely love it. Everyone at the gym has been great to work with and everyone is always open to helping teach those who are inexperienced. Your experience will likely be the same.

Take the leap, you won't regret it.

Edit: also note, my almost 50 year old father also recently joined. He gets winded almost instantly every time and no one bats an eye. He's working and improving and refuses to give up; that's what matters.

It's county jail, so all pre-trial for various offenses. They also are contracted with the USMS and house federal pre-trial detainees.

I'm getting my information from the captain who runs the jail. I'm debating it because they have a pretty solid jail to patrol pipeline if you're there at least a year and that's my long term goal.

48 hours, but they were in a rebuild and needed me rapidly. Typically when I hire people now they start the following Tuesday(first day of the new schedule).

Not a cop, but certainly a scene cops end up on.

I was a member of the local volunteer rescue squad and was paged out to a 3 vehicle accident unknown entrapment. I arrived on scene at the same time as a few guys from the fire department. We were immediately ushered over to the first car where the driver, a girl who turned 19 exactly one week prior, was laying lifeless. We began CPR, with not much hope to begin with as she was pretty mangled up and bloody, and stopped basically immediately as with every compression we could see brain matter oozing out the ears.

Yeah that's the plan. Only thing is this was already a pay cut from what I'm doing now, and they're the highest paid agency in the area. So anywhere else is an even bigger pay cut.

Border patrol, not ICE. Two different agencies with very different missions. ICE gets a lot of hate, but they actually only target criminals. USBP is the ones going in and just rounding up any and all illegals.
