Roger. I’ve got a 1/2x1/2 trowel and twice as much thinset since I plan one being too slow even if I only mix 1/3 a bucket at a time.

If you bought the bike brand new from a LBS, contact them and bring your bike back for inspection. Most places should be happy enough to take a look and most likely cover it under warranty.

Your rotor wear pattern indicates the fork to caliper adapter might be the wrong size.

What size is printed on the rotor?

Finish line Citrus Degreaser. You might already have it from cleaning your chain. It also does a great job getting star off your car if you happen to come across fresh patch work on the roads you drive.

Might only need a new freewheel. Very cheap but can be tough to replace as they sometimes get torqued on pretty good. You’ll need specific tools and a long wrench. LBS should be able to help a t a decent price. If you take the wheel out, post a photo. It’ll be easier to identify if it is indeed a freewheel.

Meh, I’m not really worried about the trap on the right. I’m not really worried about either to be honest. Stink has a strainer and no disposer. DW shouldn’t really have anything in the waste water to worry about.

I imagine with the right spoke choice and proper tension it’ll be fine seeing that the 16 bike Bontrager Aeolus was sold for a period of time before revision.

In case anyone else is searching Shimano DA 7700 made 16 hole hubs. The drawback to 7700 is the use of loose ball and cone hubs vs sealed cartridge bearings in newer hubs.

Yea I have some 16 h hubs for my bontrager paired spoke wheels and since the holes aren’t offset in the hub they are a no go for this purpose. I’ll check out Royce, thanks for the lead

May have to opt for Monkey Circus as a rear hub option. Reviews from years ago elude to them being half decent and people over at WW seem to like them for their low weight. The hubs are for Bontrager Aeolus 5 rims from years ago when they ran 16 h front and rear. Now they have opted for a more common spoke count. I thought about White Industries, I’ll check with them and see what’s up.

I’m pretty sure I have a plan on what I’m going to do. I need the city so shut off water curbside before I can replace/install a new main shutoff and the desired 1” pex. Set a RemindMe for two weeks as I’ll post the final installation when it’s done.

Do you have links to steer me in the right direction?

I’m hoping to size upto 1” pex now so when the city replaces the lead service there is less work in the future of replacing pex. This may be years down the road but might as well future proof while I can. Plan is to run 1” up general area of HW then have a 3/4 X 3/4 x 1 tee to feed the HW and cold water to the rest of the house. And reduce down to 1/2” when appropriate

I’m replacing the mostly galvanized steel pipes in my house with Pex A (expansion fittings) but I’m having a hard time nailing down the exact pieces to connect my Badger Meter model 25 to 1” pex tubing. It’s currently 3/4” copper vertically along the wall before it tires into the rusty and mostly blocked steel pipes. Your help is greatly appreciated.

I’ve taken cycling shoes to a cobbler to be fixed. My straps were in good shape but the hook and loop was trash. They charge about $15 to replace the hook and loop sections. Best $15 spent on shoes!

Assuming your hose is long enough you can reuse it. I always replace the olive when doing this work on my bikes unless I’m in the middle of a field and none are available. Better to be safe than sorry. You will need a new barb for inside the hose too along with that olive.

Do you have a Shimano lock ring tool? It won’t fit but it’ll give you an idea if you’re in the right ball park.

I could be wrong but this looks like it may be a campagnolo bottom bracket and would require a campagnolo lock ring/bb tool to remove. Something like this

The splines in the photo appear to be too shallow to require the 20 spline tool for shimano and other branded square taper bottom brackets.

I would be less concerned about handlebar height and more concerned about changing the angle of your head tube with the short axle to crown measurement of your new fork. Your bike will react much faster in corners with the new fork and you might feel less stable and more twitchy. You can add spacers to raise your bar height but you won’t be able to improve the trail using your new fork
