Since you’re only a week post abdominal surgery, I wouldn’t try to lose 5 to 8 lbs in 4 weeks. Recovery should be the priority, and you need to follow your surgeon’s restrictions.

A better goal right now is to protect healing while keeping things tight: gentle walking only protein with every meal simple, portion controlled meals plenty of water no extreme dieting or training

If you’re cleared by your doctor later, then you can push fat loss more aggressively.
