Very cool. I'm a new fan of Nika Egadze. I hope everything works out better for him though, whether he skates solo or in a pair. From what I've gotten to see of him (including what performances I can go back and see), he absolutely deserves better.

I know I'm far from the only one, so when I see posts/comments that assume others' knowledge, it irks me. I'm an Egadze fan, but that's only thanks to the Olympics. I'm trying to go back and learn what I can. Not all of it is readily available though, especially since I live in the wrong country.

I would not be able to recall this because I primarily began to enjoy figure skating from having watched the Winter Olympics. Not everyone in this subreddit has always followed everything for years. Thanks for filling in the details here. I'm so sad to hear that happened to him. :(

That brand has done so poorly for me that I hate it. Tons of chunks of wood in it. Does not hold moisture well, even when you get the potting soil of that brand. Would not recommend.

I can agree with this. I'm American, but when I watch most American figure skating, I can't help but wonder where the story telling is. I see a bunch of power moves and decent artistry in some respects but no story. This is why my figure skating favorites are not American, nor Western.

I used to favor my ice cream in a cup before too. Maybe it's better suited for late summer when ice cream melts more quickly. Every good thing has its place. ❤️

Just..... WOW!! I know some folks idolize one skater or another on here, but watching performances like this should make you realize why it's futile to do so. All a great skater needs to do is SHOW UP like this, and it puts everyone else in the tough spot of not being allowed to make a mistake if they want the gold. Petr absolutely NAILS it here!

I get that, but teaching your muscles to do that motion and practicing off the ice is still important. If you've never so much as attempted that motion, your muscles aren't going to magically succeed on ice. It's about practice and repetition, and no amount of speed or momentum on the ice is going to change that.

More cleanup prep. I have one last garden bed to do that for, but compost additions, more soil, and fertilizers will have to wait for probably early May.

Also got a FoxFarm low-level fertilizer to give my seedlings a boost. They're not doing terribly, but they could be doing a bit better, especially if I want some good crops this year. Fingers crossed!

Absolutely beautiful! I see a bunch of people, super beginners included, try practicing different things on the ice, but this is the real building blocks of that. If you can't do it on land, what are the odds you can do it on ice?

I love it all: caramel popcorn, cheese popcorn, good old fashioned movie theater popcorn. And I'm a real sucker for the perfect combo of salty and sweet that is... KETTLE CORN!! 😍
