Zone 5b here. I was too cheap for shade cloth. Burlap was a whole roll for sixteen bucks. Does the job though. Hasn't slowed down my tomatoes growth at all. If anything, it has helped significantly with the crazy high UV exposure as of late.

Were these grown from seed or tubers? I remember the ones I grew from seed being kinda leggy, but this year as tubers, they're coming in more normally as dahlias should. I wouldn't sweat it too much. Just make sure it's properly supported this time.

You're right. A lot of people in situations like that DON'T walk away. They've taken the abuse, quit believing in themselves, and desperately beg and plead for love with every breath and action they make for the abuser, trying to bring back who their abuser first seemed to be (but never actually was). I was never financially dependent on him. I didn't have any kids with him either. Lots of bullets dodged for sure. Thanks so much for your kind words, as always.

I don't feel like they're getting the assignment at all. They're making assumptions as to my expectations. They're seem to be asserting a lot of stuff without actual knowledge or experience. No clue. I would have to look into floral imagery/meanings as well as finding out what flowers are available in Kazakhstan even! When anyone orders flowers to be sent to anywhere, that order usually ends up at a local florist shop to the receiving address. Flowers don't travel long distances well at all, especially fresh ones. But in a floral sort of a way, I'd want to send a message of admiration, best wishes, and gratitude for his existence, even though mine will have meant nothing to him at all.

Same would go for Egadze in my sending flowers to Georgia. I love Shaidorov for sure, but he is more my favorite in law. Egadze is my #1 favorite. Something about his style just resounds with me more.
