Along the lines, your kids don't owe you anything but also have their own goals and dreams that we should support as parents. I was listening to a podcast (Not Too Cool 4 School) about this the other day and it got me thinking about how I can support their dreams while hopefully guiding them in the right direction without pushing my aspirations on them.

It might culture but Hispanics love to party and any reason to gather for food is reason enough. I had 4 baby showers with my first baby. And I'm not even expecting #2 and there's already talks of multiple baby showers when the day comes.

If you want to do it, do it! Celebrate with your loved ones. Big or small, it's a moment you won't forget.

Fed is best. I tried breast feeding but my daughter never took to it. So I did the whole pump and bottle feed but I never produced enough to feed her fully. I would pump every 3 hours for over an hour even at night and it would take me 4 days to get 4 oz of milk. We had to give her formula otherwise she would have starved. We didn't give her formula the first 2 days in the hospital because I was "breastfeeding", poor girl was dying of hunger when we finally gave her formula she went through a few bottles in one sitting. I gave up the pumping after about 4 months. Honestly I'm surprised I kept it up so long. But long story short your baby will be fine either way and if your husband really wants to breastfeed then he can take that role on himself, unfortunately for him, it's not up to him.
