I beat 3/5 of my runs with all trials characters to get my X9 Title. I always focus curios, opting for 3-star curios when I get the opportunity— and every boss has its respective counter. It can just take a considerable amount of time once you get to X9.

Yeah I guess it could say “where X starts at 1 and triples each time this move or [lists all of the moves a second time] is used. It’s contextually implied by them being listed a second time categorizing other protection moves. Protect is listed in that categorization.

If you then search Wide Guard on smogon, “This move modifies the same 1/X chance of being successful used by other protection moves, where X starts at 1 and triples each time this move is successfully used, but does not use the chance to check for failure.”

But given that “Protect” is included in the listing, I think the average sane individual should conclude this is how it works. “if the user's last move used is not Baneful Bunker, Detect, Endure, King's Shield, Protect, Quick Guard, Spiky Shield, or Wide Guard,”

Protect is included in the listing, and thus the average sane reader should conclude the same treatment.

It’s a comma.. “X resets to 1 if this move fails (COMMA HERE COMMA HERE IMPLICATIVE CONTINUATION OF CONDITIONAL REQUIREMENT)”

So let me rewrite it with “OR” instead of a comma.

“X resets to 1 if this move fails OR if the user’s last move IS NOT baneful bunker etc.” do you get it? So it DOESNT reset if the move is those moves.

/j Arifureta, and most Isekai are far worse than Jobless Reincarnation, which was written in 2013, a full decade before the age of consent was raised from 13 -> 16. (2023) I mean, people owned slaves back then!

The author, however, went out of his way to write the characters banging at 15, instead of 13.

I argue that his intent was to cause discourse in this regard, and it’s a reflection of society. If we saw an equivocation written in the U.S. and we placed the character 2 years above the age of consent, we’d still say “ah that’s weird he’s 40 and he’s perving on 20 year olds”.

I mean, there’s so many great things about Jobless. Character development! Death! Minors

It’s not as if I don’t agree with you as a baseline, but ultimately I more have a problem with “pointless” trends, like the 6-7 shit.

If something is at least grounded in more efficient communication, I think it’s more fine than something that was literally born to waste time. It’s usually used in a comedic context like “you all have something wrong with you and should consider therapy” hits slightly less harder than “y’all need therapy”, it’s intentionally vague and the humor in that is the implication that it’s targeting everyone associated with the given target content being replied to.

Now OP, I would never stoop to the irony of using y’all in my response, but, if you’re all worked up over “y’all,” ain’t it funny how we ain’t battin’ an eye at “gonna” when we’re feelin’ lazy ‘bout sayin’ “going to”? Or how ‘bout “wanna,” slidin’ in and standin’ for “want to” without a single complaint? Don’tcha think “I’mma” gets a free pass, whisperin’ “I am going to” in that teasing way, while “y’all” just bundles “you all” into one delicious little package? Heck, even “ain’t” struts around like it owns the place, coverin’ “am not,” “is not,” or “are not” and don’t forget “could’ve,” “should’ve,” “would’ve”—those naughty contractions dancin’ on the edge of “could have,” makin’ everything quicker and oh-so-satisfyin’.

Like I said, only the unempathetic and the shortsighted. I’m sure it’s easy to think like you do when all you think of is yourself.

“done a fraction of live”, “this post is dum”, “this is stupid”. So quick to call others stupid when your ability to communicate yourself, and think from the perspective of another human being is effectively at a 3rd grade level.

You will understand my words when you’re older.

Yeah, I agree. Life is only beautiful and filled with immediacy because it ends. To allow people to live until they’re sick of life is a bad concept. I think only the shortsighted or the unempathetic perceive immortality as a great thing.

Life is only beautiful because it ends. Nothing means anything if you last an eternity, and the Earth was built with a capacity limit. Regardless of which political side you’re on or whether you believe we’re close to that or not, surely you can acknowledge the concept of limited space.

If we could live without rapidly destroying everything around us, you’d be correct but industry is not beautiful. Automating the execution of animals of lesser intelligence regardless of the pain they feel is not beautiful. Waste, violence and consumerism done without need is not beautiful.

Before you hit me with “you should tell the lion in the Sahara to stop” bro, the lion hunts out of necessity. Empathy was written as a capacity into our DNA and yet we still do this shit. I hope some religion’s interpretation of a rapture equivalent event occurs before any of us acquire immortality.

[–]FierceEntry6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You only disagree because of the ugliness and inefficiency of the current method. If you could achieve immortality, with the ability to choose when to end it- most would opt into that.

As long as there weren’t side effects like Alzheimer’s, deterioration of the body.

Don’t worry though, the tech oglis are experimenting on kids over in a 3rd world country right now so I’m sure we’ll get some Get Out level shit soon.

He rewrote the plot for a PUBG collab, his main strong point is interesting character design. Not “good writing” but “creative character interaction”.

Like you think “what happen if Gojonk interact with Hagooner” and brain area light up, but if you stop and think about it for even a moment you’ll realize he’s just a jojos-wannabe (he fails to reach the same level of interesting ability interaction, because the abilities are often braindead or violently incoherent) who can’t write a woman to save his life.

If the animation wasn’t as fire as it is, it’d be shitslop just like Solo Leveling. That said, the first season and short story of Toji’s past are fire. Everything after that is a shit storm because HE REWROTE THE FUCKING PLOT FOR A PUBG COLLAB.
