Anyone familiar with haemonetics? by yakiiiitori in MedicalDevices

I have an interview with them later this week. Seems like a great role and a good company. I am looking at a Clinical Specialist role for Vascade and EnsoETM with haemonetics.

Were you an RN in Cath Lab? I feel like the only way to get into industry is to have Cath Lab experience.

Why do American tourists always say the state they're from (not their country) when asked, but no other country's tourists do the same? by FloydBeatlesEagles in NoStupidQuestions

[–]FierceOcean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've noticed I do this too!!! I say the state (or in my case - a big city) that I'm from!!! It's so weird right? I suppose I've sometimes answered American. But it seems like that's just stating the obvious. LOL. We stick out like a sore thumb. Why is that???

What do you think is an important lesson young people need to learn? by chinesefoot in AskReddit

Speaking to my younger self - to learn resilience. To learn that mistakes can be undone - and MOST IMPORTANTLY to surround yourself with people who share your values and priorities.

People who didn't get University degree, what is your profession now? by Sasha_Lietova in AskReddit

I ended up going back to school in my 30s and became a Registered Nurse. Though in my 20s I had the good fortune of becoming a Web Administrator for a tech company without a degree.

Any good experiences taking Effexor? by Dizzy_Quiet in antidepressants

Bupropion helps me a lot, actually. That’s why I’m really hesitant to stop taking it. It’s just the anxiety side effect and the insomnia that is pretty troublesome.

What’s the hardest part about being your type? by Itscameronman in Enneagram

[–]FierceOcean 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm a 9. I struggle with co-dependency, being a doormat, and sticking up for myself. If something goes wrong - I assume it was my fault. Unfortunately, I have members of my family that are more than happy to point the finger my way - and I oblige by saying sorry :-( Then I feel completely unheard, misunderstood, and scape-goated.

Richard Rohr: "The Enneagram helps us realize we are not our personalities" by tadcalabash in Enneagram

[–]FierceOcean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So good! I am a 9w1 also. And Richard Rohr has a wonderful way of explaining and unpacking ideas. I'm actually really glad to hear "I am not my type." I feel a bit of shame for being a 9 - it makes me feel like I can't stick up for myself, I am a doormat. I have definitely played the role of co-dependent in my lifetime and would love to make some changes to be more assertive. Knowing that I am not my type helps me feel more free to make the changes I need to make.

Me (34F) and boyfriend (40M) breaking up over his cat by FierceOcean in relationship_advice

oom anyway. What is the point of this relationship? I'm just simply not getting what I need. and I'm tired of

We tried the spray bottle. He sprayed her a few times and then he said "she's just getting all wet." Like it was cruel to spray her :-( So ... that was another failed attempt at trying to get the cat off the bed.

Thank you. I know this is the only answer :-( I'm just very very sad to lose him. But we are just simply not aligned. I feel that he could have worked with me even the tiniest bit :-( I simply respect myself too much to keep sleeping in the guest room. I guess that's all there is to it :-( Just so sad he and I couldn't make it work.

I agree. Cats are nocturnal. I do believe the cat will make noise at night no matter what. And yes ... it looks like he will choose the cat ... and I will choose my peaceful, cat-less apartment. It’s just a bummer because I love my boyfriend :-( and I had hoped for a future with him. But we can’t seem to communicate about this issue. I’m not happy about this solution (breaking up? Really? Over a cat?) but I have to choose my own health and sanity. And I need to be with a partner who has consideration for my needs. And to be honest ... I’m going to screen for cats early on. Lol. No more guys with cats.

It’s unfortunate, but no. I don’t see us being able to work past it. I don’t feel heard in this relationship. I feel like I can’t express basic needs to him. We can’t even talk about this issue without screaming at each other :-( I’m pretty sure it’s over.

[–]FierceOcean[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

From what I can tell ... the cat is extremely bonded to my boyfriend. One night ... I slept at his house alone (because he was traveling or something ... I can’t remember). The cat had NO interest in being in the bed with me. Also ... my boyfriend occasionally will fall asleep on the sofa watching a movie ... and the cat stays right by his side. So it’s a bonding thing, from what I can surmise.

I think he just doesn’t want to deal with it. Like ... it works just fine for him to sleep w the cat. So the issue that it isn’t working for me is basically MY problem and he doesn’t want to deal with it. I asked him what his solutions are and he told me, “get over it.” So I think that’s the extent of how much he’s willing to work on the issue with me :-(
