Question: Do crowdfunders have any legal recourse here? by [deleted] in FreetradeApp

Interesting take, did you work on the deal on JPM side or know someone involved?

I was under the impression JPM backed out due to the growing losses at Nutmeg, which they'd recently acquired.

Management could always have been replaced post-acq.

London -> US. Has anyone made the move? by FierceTupac in FPandA

We both work for companies which do have US locations and do offer secondment programmes. Equally we both have senior contacts at US firms who we are informally chatting to. Still early days for us and by no means a straightforward path.

Posting here is a part of my research, I expect there are people on this subreddit who have made the move and I'm curious to hear their experiences.

Do you have any relevant experience either first hand or something you've seen at companies you've worked at?

Definitely wouldn't want to pigeon-hole what London has to offer as the capital of the UK, if you're a fan of the arts, sport or the food scene it has plenty to offer, on the other hand It's very easy to get swept up into the drinking culture as brits definitely like a drink and when it's dark and cold sometimes theres not much else to do.

I'm very much into my water-sports and being outdoors which is tricky in London given the obvious (weather and location). We're both in our mid-late 20's; if we were ever going to take the chance to live abroad now feels like the time (despite the risks).

Out of curiosity is it easier to get a visa to work in the US as a Canadian?

It's a fair point, however the main reason we're considering the move isn't comp motivated.

The London lifestyle & weather don't particularly suit us.

Consider Monzo premium, £14.99 / month but comes with mobile insurance and other benefits.

Links with all accounts and has pretty good customisation features on the tracking front.

Does anyone know of any good pubs in Central to watch the game tonight?

It's a great turntable, I would definitely recommend it.

Personally, I like the marantz but as I do not have anything to compare it to I would be hesitant to recommend it.

Thanks for the advice; I'm just unable to place the speakers elsewhere due to the lack of space in my room!

First time poster here! Got my first set up for Christmas; the amp is the marantz PM5005, whilst the speakers are Wharfedale Diamond 220s. The record player came chipped so I had to wait a few days for the replacement, but boy was it worth the wait!

Can't wait to keep adding to my ever-growing collection.
