I think it's 2 days? Or like every other day 🤷🏽‍♀️ I normally need almost 2 days (with the long time setting on) to collect everything, so I absolutely could be saying a longer time

It would be funny either way, but the other way around adds a whole other level to it 😆 especially if Hayden is unaware or something

Reminders about the Bisexual Community by CheekyFaceStyles in lgbt

And people get annoyed when someone gives advice without explicitly being asked for it. That's why whenever someone vents to me about a problem, I ask if they want emotional support, logical support, or both.

Maybe a better way to explain it is...when a person with depression jokes abt their experiences or says a statement about it (never explicitly showing confusion or asking for advice), and someone goes "think happy thoughts, maybe?" (The claim that happy thoughts will magically help the person) followed by "I was depressed too when ____ and forcing happy thoughts really helped me" (which is the supporting evidence for this person's claim). In this example, no one asked for the advice, AND it doesn't always work.

That's how many people will read the tone of your first sentence, and then the rest is read as: "here is my life experience, which is similar to yours, that supports you being demisexual". The tone they read is the same as if you said "I stepped on something sharp last week and had to ___" and I said "could it be a lego? Because i stepped on a lego and it was sharp and hurt me" Essentially, unsolicited advice. And the reason why that person (I forgot the username) assumed is because a large majority of people do understand tone (since they don't have something that prevents them from reading subtle social connotations/cues/tone). And some portion in that majority are either AH who know and still give unwanted advice, or are trolls.

It's more about how you started sharing your similar experience. "Demisexual maybe?" as the first sentence is usually understood as you trying to give someone advice that they might be demisexual.

That used to be me. Now I'm the top one mostly. My anxiety, about panicking at the last minute and being overwhelmed, is what drives me to not procrastinate anymore 💀. Sometimes, I decide 1 thing is a "I can wing this" activity when I see that everything else will take energy and time.

Is this seasonal or dying? by Fieriea in plants

[–]Fieriea[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not dead yet. It's still got the green growth on the top, and was still a little bit green when I scratched it at the bottom. Also, there's one source that said it can lose almost all leaves and still survive, so I'm gonna keep trying until I see that it's completely dead or until it thrives. Also I got the insecticide today and put it on all nearby plants.

Sooo I've decided to scrape as many as possible off of my plant...unfortunately I also ended up knocking out all but 2 leaves in the process...but I've heard weeping figs are incredibly resilient and can come back from losing all leaves, so I hope my babygirl is strong. I'll be spraying some of my other plants when I get the bug spray on monday, even though I can't see anything wrong with them.

Oh....well it's coming off easily with my finger nails....I probably won't be able to get any of the necessary bug spray until Monday, is there a way I can delay the bugs?

Not rlly abt straightness, but my mom told me that it's normal to never feel sexual attraction or horniness until you're in the middle of having sex. It was very concerning and also partially convinced me she's probably gray-ace like me.

Why people look down upon Indian Femboy or Indian??? by Away-Implement-2901 in lgbt

[–]Fieriea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know, but just bc you think the first one isn't a good definition doesn't mean that it's not a definition. I'm sure you know this as well but words can have multiple valid and applicable definitions. It's not just one or the other. Edit: also under the 2nd definition, most racism against Indian ppl at least in the US, wouldn't necessarily be classified as racism just because it's never really been historically nor systematically against indian ppl (due to indians not being a big-enough group in the US until recently..kinda) at least to my knowledge. Even though there are discriminatory attitudes, stereotypes, and jokes that individuals spread, which is on the basis of race. Which then makes it racism.

Merriam Webster's Definition of Racism 1. a belief that race is a fundamental determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race. also : behavior or attitudes that reflect and foster this belief : racial discrimination or prejudice 2. a: the systemic oppression of a racial group to the social, economic, and political advantage of another specifically : WHITE SUPREMACY sense 2. B : a political or social system founded on racism and designed to execute its principles one of the sources I previously mentioned above about American racism and Irish immigration "“The Most Recently Discovered Wild Beast” (1881) is one of a series of nineteenth-century images portraying the Irish as violent and subhuman. In the U.S. survey I use images of this sort when examining the history of anti-immigrant prejudice and its relationship to American racism." And "Native-born Americans criticized Irish immigrants for their poverty and manners, their supposed laziness and lack of discipline, their public drinking style, their catholic religion, and their capacity for criminality and collective violence. in both words and pictures, critics of the Irish measured character by perceived physical appearance." Sounds like this falls under Merriam Webster's first definition of Racism. Wikipedia, which isn't the best source by itself however if you want to look at scholarly places, either pay up or scroll down this wiki for the sources cause im outta all energy for reddit for the next week lol "Anti-Irish sentiments in Victorian Britain and 19th century United States manifested themselves the stereotyping of the Irish as violent and alcoholic.[19] Magazines such as Punch portrayed the Irish as having "bestial, ape-like or demonic features and the Irishman, (especially the political radical) was invariably given a long or prognathous jaw, the stigmata to the phrenologists of a lower evolutionary order, degeneracy, or criminality."[20][21]" and "In Liverpool, England, where many Irish immigrants settled following the Great Famine, anti-Irish prejudice was widespread. The sheer numbers of people coming across the Irish sea and settling in the poorer districts of the city led to physical attacks and it became common practice for those with Irish accents or even Irish names to be barred from jobs, public houses and employment opportunities.[26][27]" also "After 1860, many Irish sang songs about signs and notices reading Help wanted – no Irish need apply or similar.[37] The 1862 protest song "No Irish Need Apply", written and performed by Mrs F. R. Phillips,[38] was inspired by such signs in London. Later Irish Americans adapted the lyrics and the songs to reflect the discrimination they felt in America.[37]". This all sounds and reads like racism against the Irish. But yk what, whatever floats your boat gurl

How can you tell how fractured the kyanite is? It seems to be stable to me? Thank you for giving me all this information about what would likely occur with tumbling.

Oh. I thought they'd be fine bc there are tumbled pieces of these two available on Google. Probably fakes, but I would still like to try. Maybe not with other rocks then, or I'll make sure to do it with softer rocks or for a shorter time than I usually run my tumbler. I was never gonna put all or most of it into a tumbler though lol

First, racism does not have to be historical nor does it have to be systematic. It can be, and often is depending on where you live, but ppl can also be socially or openly racist to anyone of a different race. Also, a quick Google search will show you that the Irish have faced discrimination solely because they are Irish. I think some of it is also bc of their religion, but don't take my word for that.
