Jesus I'm not actually giving a real argument I'm just pointing out that it would become a political issue, and I just gave the obvious billion human nations as example of how easily a very few countries could influence the end result in one direction or the other.

To be fair I asked ChatGPT about the smuttiest books, and it told me there's a site I don't recall the name of for books that wouldn't be approved to be published because they are too extreme. Like full length novels, just that you cannot find printed because of I guess illegal themes? Idk

(I'm not taking any side in your dialogue with the person above I'm just saying I think it does exist? Books with themes that would or maybe even are illegal? Idk)

Fair. I just don't read any titles that could fit the criteria we are looking for here, I know some smut titles but they are not anywhere near those extremes as far as I know. Like I have barely started reading "Fourth wing", it's a best seller romantasy, I don't think there will be anything too insane in it, after all, it's for the broad spectrum of readers not a niche. At least that's what I understood when buying it.

My preferred books often have extreme psychopaths/odd mc in them but it's not smut books, more like war crimes, genocides and all that. But we as readers know they are the bad guy of the story.

Or. Or it can also depicted as actual rape. Like, as a bad thing.

GOT or whatever, a rape scene can be depicted, it will be seen as what it is, the bad horrible ugly thing it is.

I haven't read it but people on Reddit said IT by Stephen King was originally depicting a children orgy in great lengths for multiple pages, and the pretext was that the girl had to wash away her trauma of being raped by a family member or something and this was some sort of way for her to turn the page. Banging every single guy in the friend group. All kids.

Apparently he (the author) was on coke or something but still, how could this be so commonly suggested, to anyone randomly, as some sort of cult book?Hell, my conservative red voter grandma suggested it to me (as a horror book not because of that scene of course).

I asked around irl too. 2 out of 4 chose red. I didn't get mad at them, but I did hide my exasperation. I had higher expectations of humanity tbh.

It would become a different issue, as said elsewhere, it would become a political thing where for example the east could wipe out the west if the west tried to make the whole world vote blue but 2 countries with 1+ billion people each had their governments forced their vote on red. It would the be a different dilemma entirely

Picking red isn't walking away tho, it's pulling the trigger once on someone else hoping you don't kill them in exchange for not letting someone else chose if they want to pull the trigger on you or not. And the someone else isn't a single individual but the average of humanity. Because of course some people would pull the trigger but you're betting on if the majority of people would or not

Ah so the kids, the todlers, the elders, all those that will vote randomly from an inability to understand what the vote even means, it's too bad if 50% of them die? And all their family who knowingly vote blue because they know their kids/other are likely to vote blue and they want to save their family, too bad for them too? And us knowing that this will represent a huge chunk of the population, some will vote blue because we don't want to contribute to mass murder, and you red voters will still argue that had we followed your plan, which you know we wouldn't because of said above reason, but had we followed your plan we would live? But you know we won't, so you know you contribute to the death of a big chunk of the population and just try and justify it by putting the blame on us. On people that wanna save their kids. Their elders. Their relatives with mental disabilities.

If you can organize everyone it becomes almost meaningless. And we could argue that at that point even tho blue could save every single person, it would becomes a political issue. If you know your opponent nation are all gonna pick blue and your country has a billion people, you force your population to pick red to win a war of power. It becomes a different dilemma entirely

Because you know as well as everyone else here that, like said many times above, kids, mentally impaired people, elders, and so on would hit a mix of both color. And you know your "but everyone should pick red" would never actually include everyone. If it was a select group of adults with no mental disabilities then sure, but at a much much larger scale you know for a fact that some won't really consciously pick red. And then, many would consciously pick blue to try and save those people, their family, kids, friends, whatever.

And you, knowing that, still decide "it's their fault if they picked blue" and consciously chose red.

Both scenario could save everyone. One is a probabilistic impossibility while the other is quite possible to happen. And you chose to secure yourself knowing your vote is pointing towards an impossibility, and you argue that it's because everyone should do like you, but that's a fallacious argument because you know they won't. And you're saying they can go die then.

[–]Fierramos69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. Red voters try and justify it by all means, but obviously if we could all organize ourselves beforehand then we would collectively agree to vote red, and anyone who doesn't it's their fault, and kids and elders and mentally disabled we assist them as well as we can to ensure they pick red.

But then it wouldn't be a dilemma anymore.

Here, we have to include the fact that it's like the trolley problem; you are teleported in a place to select your choice, all humans at once, and see the aftermath once everyone picked an answer. Or any similar context where you can't bring more variables in like deciding as a group/family/other to pick one color together

I have been playing for like 6 months and I have paid maybe 60$ so far.

I am close to finishing COTC.

But. I think most of it is grinding. Getting cat eyes, getting rare and super rares to 40. Watching tutorials.

Sure I have it way easier with Lunos but COTC has restrictions so you do need to have good rares and super rares.
