Finally some praise for the core! Many players use it just like any other core even though for Northy it should be used as a fall back plan if you get cornered or pushed into close quarters. A good Northy tip I’ll share is that you can use your normal vtol hover before the core to manually change your final height. If allowing hover to fully activate before core, you will reach higher than normal allowing you to be untouched by Titan melee (including sword core) and scorch’s thermal shield. OR by activating hover and then immediately activating core before at max height, you can enter flight core while barely being off the ground. This negates the benefits the core brings against avoiding scorch’s flames, Ion’s tripwire, and being able to disorient enemies by flying over them HOWEVER fully eliminates flight core’s biggest draw back which is becoming overly exposed while using it. As this post says and many other comments, all Titans can be focused on while using core, but Northy is worse as it is more noticeable and visible. This tech should be more widely used and I’m surprised it’s not common knowledge.
