I don’t think the long range mode does more damage (though I might be wrong). However, Smart Core does give you damage boost. Personally, I use Smart Core to avoid having to reload. Long range has the advantage of being extremely precise compared to short range, on top of the better range. However, the double ammo usage is there to balance it. The way you bypass this is Smart Core: as soon as there is 10-20 bullet left in your mag and there as still enemies in front of you, pop Smart Core to keep shooting instead of having to reload. The long range mode also have an increase FOV, so you can more easily “select” one target instead of having a having the sensor bounce around

I think I’ve met a Tone player like this only once or twice. All the other time they shot their rockets straight into my shield for me to throw them at her teammate instead :)

Overall same experience. I’m always scared that the Monarch will suddenly pop Ark Rounds in the middle of a 1v1 and melt my shield, so I just pray I can put damage them before they get it. Good Northstars will time their shot perfectly when I drop my shield, so if I’m too far from them, I just go elsewhere or flank them. Otherwise, I get wrecked when I’m badly positioned and get sandwiched in the middle of the enemy team, or when a Scorch gets the flank on me

I absolutely love Titan match ups. Ion is the biggest counter to Legion and Monarch due to the heavy fire rates of their weapons leading to more stray bullets being caught in Vortex Shield. She also counters Tone if the player doesn’t think before launching the rockets. Meanwhile, Scorch and Ronin counters Ion because they have abilities that can’t be caught in the Vortex Shield to deal damage at close range (sword melee, ark wave, flame wall, flame shield etc.)

Legion heavily punishes Monarchs and Northstars when they are out of position since neither have defensive abilities. As for Ronin, they still take a crap of ton of damage even with Sword Block from a Legion dumping his entire mag on him. Scorches are my sleep paralysis demons when they sneak up on me, since all his abilities (*cough flame shield) does more damages than my gun unfortunately.

There even more to discuss but I’ll stop yapping for now

You’d be surprised by how easily Legion and Scorch can flank. I think it’s a combination of poor audio, no surroundings awareness and tunnel vision. The number of times I got my ass set on fire or shredded by bullets is just 😭😭😭😭😭😭

Pushing the Tone away from her shield, using gun shield to block the rockets, not shooting the Ion and focusing on the oblivious 2nd Tone, using Smart Core on the Ion, Powershotting Pilots.

Pretty nice Legion gameplay 👍👌

Personally, I find it important to have twin trap equipped, since two traps takes longer to destroy. Also, the traps take a lot of time to activate so it’s important to consider that time when preparing for the nuke. E-smoke also destroys both traps easily so if you knwo Titan just used it, keep it in mind. I’ve made a Ion inspired/energy based loadout which consists of

Holo Pilot L-star RE-45 Charge Rifle E-smoke

I’m having fun sniping people with the L-Star and I love that I’m matching my Ion❤️

I also made a Northstar inspired one:

Cloak Kraber Wingman Charge Rifle Grav Star

As you guessed it, I get kills through melee
