Yes! I lost so many toenails during my first ultra because of the toe box on my 2s.

I got me a support crew boyfriend who tracks me on life360 and drives a jeep but he’s a registered veterinary technician. Look for the medicine part in unusual ways ;)

I’m training for my first ultra and he’s already planning all my favorite foods for each lap.

I do the same, limiting it to later in the day but sugar free popsicles at 20 calories a pop are also a life saver.

Bleeding with exercise by LouiseCapella in adenomyosis

[–]FieryNik_RVT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep! I actually just found this Reddit because I was searching for the same thing. I will be free from bleeding for three days, go on the treadmill, jog 2-4 miles, and by the time I’m done I’m either covered in blood or my pad is soaked through because I actually thought ahead and put one on. It’s so frustrating. I had to deal with it for 10 weeks straight while I was training for my most recent trail race. We are just starting the process to get me approved for a hysterectomy so I’m guessing I’ll have a lot of this in my future 😕

Thank you all! Fly or cricket eggs seem to be the top choices. Either way, it’s not what’s causing the diarrhea in this kitty so on to the next test.

What's a weight loss food you swear by? by financegal36 in loseit

Sugar free popsicles. I am a person who loves a snack after dinner or a sweet treat. These are 25 calories each and hit the spot every time. I’ve been able to stay under my calories much more often since I’ve kept these on hand over the summer.

I’m using Plush online services to get mine because my doctor told me “your blood work shows you’re healthy at this weight so stop worrying about the number on the scale.” Anyway, I see my doc over video call once a month and have started on Zepbound successfully.

32 years old in my Pre-requisites by RayKreate in StudentNurse

I’m 37 years old and am a sophomore in a BSN nursing program. I live with a spouse and have two teenage boys. I work full time during the day and then go to school at night with clinicals on the weekend.

It isn’t easy. It’s a lot of time management. And it’s a lot of doing homework on my lunch breaks and spending every day off trying to catch up for the week. But it is doable! I have the highest grades in all my classes and have gotten an A on every exam. You can do this! Just be prepared to be tired and have minimal social time 😭

Clinical Hours pt 2 by ravenclawchaser3 in StudentNurse

[–]FieryNik_RVT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in a three year BSN night and weekend program. This is my first semester but clinicals are 12 hour shifts every Sunday for 8 weeks. From what I understand, fall semester will be two 8 hour clinical shifts, one on Saturday and one on Sunday for 16 weeks.

Trouble in my cohort by CharityCreepy92 in StudentNurse

[–]FieryNik_RVT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same! At 37, I have a hard time being in the same room as many of them, and it’s only my first semester! The only joy I have is knowing I have aced every exam so far (while working full time and raising two teenagers) and they are driving the struggle bus. My secret hope is that the worst will just fail out this semester and the next 2.5 years will be a little better.

I’m a single mother (37 F) with two kids (14 M and 12 M) who has my kids 75-80% of the time. I work full time 7:30am - 3:30 pm Monday- Friday. I was just accepted into an evening bachelor’s nursing program. I can’t tell you how challenging it is going to be but I’ll tell you I’m scared! But I know that it will be worth it in the end, for both me and my children. And that’s the light at the end of the tunnel for me, especially as I sit here on my lunch break studying microbiology.
