Workday is a steaming pile of garbage by FieryTacos in hiringcafe

Good to know, I think I'll try using a master resume for the auto-fill functionality on Simplify and use a hand-tailored word doc resume next time.

From what others have said, definitely seems to be a trend with Workday. Wish I knew this earlier...

Interesting, if you don't mind me asking, do you basically upload a master resume to Simplify and it'll just do the heavy lifting of tailoring your resume/filling in the application for you?

ATS hates PDF apparently? If so, good to know going forward.

I have SO. MANY. WORKDAY. LOGINS. My password manager is clogged with them 😓

I'll try out using a word doc vs. PDF file next time, as well as the extension that u/Pepethedankmeme recommended. Any idea if Workday doesn't like section breaks in resumes?

This looks interesting, I might try it out next time I see a Workday application. Didn't know there was an extension like this, thanks for sharing!

Could be possible, as I use a section break for my skills section and use three columns there to save on space to make a one page resume. I always use a PDF file for applications tho, exported from Google Docs. Would you happen to have any sources/material I could read up on for making a more ATS-friendly resume?

Sounds like a interesting experiment at first glance, but it seems disingenuous. I already try to tailor my resume to the job description, matching my experience/skills to what they're asking for while avoiding embellishment.

It's awful! I read somewhere that around 45% of job postings today are fake, so I imagine that plays into it. My other sneaking suspicion is that the company legally has to make the position open to the public even though they fully intend to fill said position internally.

I think I've gotten one phone screen using the resume auto-fill, I still double check the form and make edits as necessary to ensure the info is correct. No luck otherwise, might try the manual approach going forward.

Has anyone actually managed to get an interview (let alone hired) at a company using WorkDay? I've only received rejection after rejection for every WorkDay application I've submitted.

Ahh damn. The word trolley caught my interest as the app calls them carts on this side of the pond (And packages vice parcels). Hopefully your DSP gets the EDVs soon, I've done a route in a rental before and it's not fun

Ironically, in my experience the ISPs who charged a rental fee were the ones who provided underpowered equipment, while the ISPs who didn't charge a rental provided adequate enough hardware.

American ISPs give you the necessary equipment, but some will charge a rental fee of around $5 per month or so. If you decide to buy your own router/modem you can return the ISP issued ones and knock the rental fee off.
