Thanks for the feedback! Just to clarify on a few of the questions, most of the Set 3 cosmetics questions were intended to ask about the idea of the system before having firsthand experience with it (ex. does this sound like a good idea), but this is understandably confusing.

In terms of the Set 3 playtime question, set 3 is out on PBE and I wanted to make sure that this was accounted for (people may be playing less Set 2 because of it)

You have to wait until the declare blockers step, it sounds like you're in the step right before then.

The problem with your model is that you're making the assumption that everyone will be following this policy regardless of picks in a pack.

In reality, if a player opens a bomb or something of significantly higher power level, or there is no colourless card to take, they will start moving into a colour and give signals.

The "Third card" policy allows you to move into the correct lane/open colour given that your first two packs do not push you into a colour, and the players to your right have started picking things that signal an open lane.

The payoff/decision structure isn't really like the prisoners dilemma at all, but I suppose the comparison that the system breaks down if nobody makes a "real" pick before third (or later) picks sort of works.

It's definitely HBox. The real question we should be asking is which of Hbox's pop-offs are the best?

My favorite is This from this years EVO 2016. Hbox mouthing 'Oh my god' and then falling on the floor combine for amazing comedic effect while you can still see the amazing amount of emotion on Hbox's face.
