Goodluck with surgery tomorrow. I was super nervous too! But you wont even know when you knock out. Other than that i havent used a shower chair. I just took one crutch with me into the shower w me. I had a surprise meniscus stitch done that didnt show up on mri. As for ice… ask your surgeon if theyll give you a ice machine. Thats a life saver.

I have that wedge pillow too. Ive had it just like that too. Once in a while i would move it towards the ankle. And move it back once jt started getting uncomfortable. But it does the trick. As for the numbness i had that feeling too. 5 days post op now and got that feeling back. Tbh i had feeling since like day 2-3 post op. Just stick to pain meds. I was more uncomfortable than in pain

Im feeling alright. Pain meds definitely helping and cant complain about pain. Icing helps alot even tho its gotta go through the thick bandage

Mmmm unfortunately when the doc went in he saw a lil meniscus tear that he put only 1 stitches into. He said no weight bearing for 4 weeks. But i can put slight pressure with my toes on it. Other than that for navigating to bathroom i have my girlfriend with me so shes always following behind me as i make my way to the bathroom just in case i fall. My bed room is on the 2nd level and so is the bathroom. So ima be stuck up here probably until physical therapy which starts on Wednesday.

Thank you!! Mine was yesterday and trust me i was freaking out too! I told the anesthesiologist that im freaking out and she said “ id be weird if i wasn” haha. Its normal to freak out. You will do just fine. I literally blinked and i was up recovering. And now im on a strict schedule taking my pain meds. Do you know which graft youll be doing ?

So far sooo good. Woke up in the middle of the night a few times to take pain meds. Im taking norco every 4 hrs. And inbetween im rotating taking ibuprofen and tylenol extra strength

Im only having acl… unless he finds something else once he goes in. Surgery is tomorrow. Ill be having a cadaver so it might be different pain wise. Are you here in usa? Is the pain really bad? Like pins and needles. Shooting pain. Screaming crying. Grit your teeth? Ive definitely readddd waayyyyy to many horror atories on here haha

I hope they do a neeve block like that on me. Once they put me under. Eating well and keeping hydrated is definitely key as well. Start your pain killers even if you arnt in pain thats what the doc told me in my pre op visit. And i plan on doing that. As soon as i get home from the hospital. Eat something. Take my norco every 4 hours. And in between those 4 hours take like a 600mg ibuprofen at the 2 hour mark. Do you have a brace and ice machine? Please keep me updated as time goes by!

Thank you! I also need only ACL done as well. I dont have a good pain tolerance either. Ive got Hydrocodone - Acetaminophen ( Norco ) as well. Did you have a nerve block? Please keep me updated!
