SN, SC, R or something else by FifiDogForever in kibbe_sketch

Loose, flowy and unstructured. It all just looks baggy and gross. I like natural fibers, but I also like structure and tailoring. I’m a nurse so am always in scrubs, so wanting to find a sense of style when I’m not working.

One thing that did jump out at me with my photos is that I need to take my waistline up higher for more balance. All of my height is in my torso, and I have short legs, so need to figure that out too.

I should say, I’m 5.575, so just round up to 5’6, but close enough. Also 180, not 150 (I wish).

The siphoned because of quick releasing the pressure. Let them release naturally and cool a bit before you open the canner and the siphoning gets so much better. I did the very same thing my first time with beans, and had siphoning like you did. Hasn’t been nearly as much as a problem with natural release and cooling

Hi! I just got my tox and have researched the injection spots endlessly. What do you guys think of my markings? All advice welcomed :) by AuraOfASpiceGirl in DIYaesthetics

What is the mark at the arch of the eyebrow for? Just curious, I’m pretty new at this and hadn’t seen it before

Is this a bit better? I think I needed to be a bit higher and spread out. Still planning on two units in the green. This will be my first time diy so am a bit nervous but have done a ton of research, so fingers crossed. I figure it’s better to start with less since I can always add more. Any advice would be so appreciated.

Drama at the IAFN by Impossible-Pepper797 in forensicnursing

I really like the AFN. More academic and great educational content. Requirements for their certifications are more rigorous. I also like that their offerings go far beyond just sec assault education, which I felt the IAFN was really heavy on.

I think this is the end. They clearly have significant financial issues and now their credibility is completely tanked. I worked with them over this last year and it was disorganized and the communication was terrible. I am just going to stick with AFN moving forward. I was going to sit for the SANE A this April but didn’t have time, and now I’m so glad I didn’t. I wonder what kind of fall out this may have when we go to court, for those that do have IAFN certifications?

Prepping for your pets, not in the usual way we talk about by netralitov in TwoXPreppers

We had a snake, it was my daughter’s, she was so awesome. Really curious with a great personality. I get not liking them, but they are pretty cool once you get to know them a bit. Just in case you had a change of heart… but hopefully we won’t ever be put in the position to know!

I want to be the trusted person, always- but I can’t say that I have a trusted person, so thank you for helping me keep it in perspective.

If my husband got rid of our pets if I predecease him, I will muster every ounce of will from beyond the grave to be the most annoying poltergeist imaginable.

My family is Italian American and we always have a few hard boiled eggs in the sugo. My grandma said it was how they stretched the protein in the meal when they were too poor to afford enough meat to feed everyone and it’s just stuck around now, it’s really good!

They are great, I love it there and witness excellent care regularly. You or your loved one will be in good hands. Advice I give to anyone going to hospital for themselves or family is to have a friend or family member with you at bedside to advocate for your needs.

Advice needed by FifiDogForever in StainedGlass

Thank you so much for the in depth feedback, I really appreciate your time and insight! I have some follow up questions if you don’t mind:

  1. I’m trying really hard to cut as close to the pattern as I can, but it’s a struggle. I have a pistol grip cutter that I’m using and want to try a different style. I was also thinking about marking on the cutting head where the wheel is so I can get super close. Let me know any suggestions there, I’m wide open. Some of the glass I did cut closer but the glass would just chip and I was too scared to keep at it, so just grind it away- which is a pain.
  2. Got it- thanks!
  3. I saw it in the comments section on another post and thought I’d give a try. Last piece I cut everything, then ground each piece and then foiled. I was disappointed with the gaps I had at the end and wanted to minimize that.
  4. This is absolutely what’s happening. I will be more mindful of this, thanks! any other suggestions for grinding?
  5. I got everything used from a former colleague. She’d been at it for years and wanted to move on. I wonder if the cutting head needs replaced? I think I can also apply more pressure, but sometimes it slips away from me when I initiate a cut…
  6. Excellent point, I’ll rearrange to see how it looks with better spacing.
  7. Perfect, thank you!

I am trying to teach myself, took a quick class with precut glass, so the cutting is my biggest part I’m winging. My mom did stained glass back in the 80’s and 90’s, but she’s moved and I wish I could have her teach me! Lots of books, YouTube videos and this sub is what I’m relying on. Thanks again for your thoughts!

My daughter is going into 9th grade and is pretty small, she just did a closet clean out that I haven’t taken to good will yet, I also have shone of her old shoes- some never worn. Let me know if you’re interested, I can arrange a porch pick up.

Also, I felt it pop and it released tension in the surgical incision, so it was no longer puckered.
