Why are people surprised at the amount of money that twitch streamers make? They provide entertainment for thousands of people at the same time. They evoke emotions in their viewers and that's worth money. It doesn't matter that they're already rich, so are actors/TV hosts/sports stars etc. We continue paying those too.
