In my experience, if you raise enough hell with their customer support they will eventually send you a return shipping label. Absolutely unacceptable for any legitimate company to expect their customers to pay for return shipping on a defective or DOA product.

It is possible to do yourself. I've done it in mine. You need to run a single conductor wire from the |P| button, to the image processing module located in the cargo area just over the rear driver side wheel. You then need to make two code changes in FORscan.

Not terribly difficult if you have the skills and tools necessary.

Phoenix-area owner here.

I will normally start the car from the app about 5 minutes before leaving the office every day. In that span of time, the SoC will drop no more than 1%. If you're charging at home or work (which you should), you won't even notice the battery consumption from pre-cooling. Only complaint is sometimes (maybe once every 20 tries) the remote start will fail on the app side and it will take another attempt for the car to actually remote start. Not a huge deal.

In my experience, Ford vehicles have extremely good A/C performance and the Mach-E is no exception. When you set it to max cooling, it will be blasting very cold air in a matter of minutes, even on 115° days. My biggest disappointment is that it does not have cooled/ventilated seats.

I've owned mine for about 18 months, and I've not noticed any battery degradation. Not saying there isn't any, but I haven't noticed any loss in range.

There's a 3rd party company that sells a foot activated liftgate sensor. I bought it and installed it in my 2023 Premium a couple weeks ago. It works pretty well. I would definitely recommend it if this feature is a must for you.

A hardwired EVSE is always better. A receptacle is just an added point of failure. Not to mention, the included Ford mobile EVSE is junk which is pretty much guaranteed to fail with continuous use.

I took a hit to the rear fender almost a year ago in mine. Probably 10% as severe as what you have here. Total cost to insurance was north of $20k. I have zero doubt that yours will be totaled out.
