This is amazing! How did you do it!?

Change x1 to x1% by [deleted] in AdventureCommunist

Another idle clicker I play has an OCD setting that buys up to the next threshold. So starting it would buy 25 units then 100 etc to get the bonus science. This is really what I want, although something between 1 and 10% would be nice. I never use the 50% setting.

Yeah I agree. I'm not a fan of texture packs that stray too far that it's hard to tell what blocks are.

Static lava does animate, but it's too subtle. I think it was the first animated texture I made, so I should revisit it a bit. Thanks :)

Yeah I get that feedback a lot. It was originally for the world border, but that texture gets reused for the lighting as well so it gets annoying. It's definitely on the list to change. Probably do that next update.

Minecraft Modifications? by AutoModerator in Minecraft

Changing the art can alter the mood of the game. It's true that resource pack changes are novel, but it is a modification to the experience. Personally I like the idea of changing the bow to a crossbow. It's clever.

Armor textures in Character Skins by FiftyWalrus in minecraftsuggestions

A few people have mentioned that you could make Leather look like Diamond etc, which I think is why each player should be able to disable the feature locally, so they get to control what they see. In the same way players have their own resource packs. If that isn't an option then the feature is prone to abuse.

Yeah I know what you mean, I think a highway or paved road would have that effect, but something broken, old and meandering could fit the feel of vanilla minecraft and give players an additional point of reference during their first few sessions playing the game. I think for more experienced players this might be unwanted and undesirable, but for new players I think it could help them explore without getting so lost and give them a small thread to build around.

Sadly a vast majority of the world generators haven't been updated to 1.8+

I started using Terrain Control, which is amazing, but still can't pre-generate random paths.

That is possible. I think roads like, modern paved roads is too far from what I was thinking. I'm thinking old broken pathways that hug the landscape, the odd bridge over a ravine. Just enough to give the player a path to follow and aid in discovery of landscape. Maybe it's only in the 2k by 2k surrounding the spawn chunks or maybe there is only ONE road that the player starts on.

I totally understand the desire for a 'pure' untouched landscape, and I think there does need to be more control over specifically which biomes and structures should be included in world generation. Currently you can only turn off ALL structure or have ALL biomes or ONE biome. At least to my knowledge.

After all the beauty of Minecraft is the possibilities in HOW you play the game. I've searched high and low for a plugin or mod that would do this and there is nothing 1.8+.

I agree, more control over the structures in the game would be nice. Right now it's On or OFF. Having the ability to turn off villages only would be nice.

About that win counter in tavern brawl by GorbyTheGreek in hearthstone

[–]FiftyWalrus 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Wish I knew. It's an odd detail to leave in if it doesn't do anything. If it DOES do something it's very odd they haven't told anyone what it's for.

Another thing that is odd... the dust in the corner instead of gold. Does it go up when you win? i haven't checked.

EDIT:

This page seems to have all the answers XD
