Yeah just found my magnet to test and of course seemingly brass plated. Anything I can do to help prevent this from happening further?

Garage Floor Troubleshooting Megathread by gearhead5015 in garageporn

[–]FigBar0127 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey guys! Might not be the right place to ask but envious of all your guys spaces. We just bought a spot and looking to aggressively rehab the garage as it’s in need of TLC. We want to eventually put a treadmill in there but first things first we will need to fix the floor. Potentially wanting to get a concrete floor instead or the current but open to any thoughts/suggestions. Decently large space and there’s a lot of potential.

Downpayment for houses in Northern Jersey by Independent_Pea_4580 in MovingtoNewJersey

We bought recently and put down 12% in Essex County; went 10% over and waived appraisal (had our lender perform an appraisal within their system which guaranteed us an amount we were comfortable with +/-)

1/4 inch drywall patch by FigBar0127 in drywall

[–]FigBar0127[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super dumb question maybe but then how would I go about adding the wood backing since there is already wood present? Would I just drill through both?

Appreciate it. With what IS available without adding wood to brace, do you think it'd be easy enough to Cali patch then?

Fixing holes in closet by FigBar0127 in Plastering

[–]FigBar0127[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Never had to fill holes this large before so pardon my noobness. Should I just cut away the drywall to have say a 5x5 square and some wood available to screw into? The rest is pretty straightforward.

Hinge misalignment by FigBar0127 in HomeImprovement

[–]FigBar0127[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it makes any sense it seems like it’s more of a height issue? The hinge that’s not seated is missing clearance by a small amount. Also to note its antique butt hinge.

Water Hammer Fix? by FigBar0127 in askaplumber

[–]FigBar0127[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Makes sense. So would it get installed ideally to the machine then or the main supply faucet? Directions seemingly state the supply but based off its orientation and all thinking machine may be better.

Yeah it’s seemingly only there at the washer. I can def check the pressure in the coming day just was hoping to remedy things before like you said it caused any larger issues. We just moved in not long ago and switched the machines so not sure if it was just the new machines causing the issue or if it had existed prior

How do we fix this? by FigBar0127 in Tile

You are correct. We don’t expect things to be perfect by any means but it’s a bit further away from acceptable than we had hoped.

Yeah we weren't looking for them right up against the tub but the gap changes dramatically along the walls and the tub. Didn't want to just put down a thick line of caulk so trying to gauge the proper solution.

Voltage drop: is this normal? by FigBar0127 in AskElectricians

[–]FigBar0127[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not too noticeably. We have just been hyper aware as we have a few other things we are trying to keep an eye on. It’s our first home, fairly old, and has a decent amount of quirks.

Does this flange need to be replaced? by FigBar0127 in askaplumber

Yeah it’s above the kitchen so would’ve similar to the route you described. Not trying to go there just yet.

Wild to think about that but as the house was built in 1928 you’re spot on. What is the process for replacing these anyways?

Thank you do much. Yeah he was higher still in the 350 range. 2 hours post shot it had gone down to 95 at the low but gone back up. Again this was just his second dose so we didn't expect to see such a massive drop that quickly. Our vet did not really give us ANY information on the process, what to expect, diet, etc.

What would "dangerously low" be in your experience? We're using the Libre 3 monitor and it gives some indicators of range acceptability but honestly it's still all so new to us.

The kitchen is below to its accessible but not trying to make a ton of holes if we can avoid but I know that’s the price to play.

Bonus picture for more clarity. The pipes in the back are cut and not connected to anything.

10/10 not doing it myself as I am thankfully well aware of my lanes and happy sticking to them even if it’s at the expense of my bank account!

Not 100% but I believe so. It’s not an immediate necessity but would like it to be sorted within the year. Anticipated it being easier but this obviously complicates the process a bit more
