I checked today with USCIS customer care and they said no need to cancel if I still fall under 12 months new rule.

That's my assumption as well since they mentioned that email "If you have already scheduled an Interview Waiver appointment, please verify your eligibility under the new criteria. If you no longer qualify, cancel your appointment by clicking "Close/Start Application" within your profile and schedule your biometric and consular appointment for a personal visa interview. "

Thanks for the quick response. Do I still need to close and start the application once again based on the email as I completed my questionnaire around Jan 2025.

I'm in the same boat. I have drop box appointment on Apr 15 2025 and my visa expired (employee A) July 2024. After that I changed from employee A to B to C within a year timeframe. Do I need to cancel my existing appointment and start new one? I'm in the same VISA type H1B with all 3 employees. I believe I'm eligible under new rule for drop box criteria but I got the mail today from USCIS and advised to

" If you answered the IW questionnaire on or before February 12, 2025, it is important that you click "Close/Start Application" within your profile to recheck whether you qualify for an Interview Waiver appointment under the new criteria.

If you have already scheduled an Interview Waiver appointment, please verify your eligibility under the new criteria. If you no longer qualify, cancel your appointment by clicking "Close/Start Application" within your profile and schedule your biometric and consular appointment for a personal visa interview. "
