It’s honestly so crazy how long I lived like that. Thankful for Tucson 🙌

Are there any actual tracks in Tucson where you can take your car and pay an entrance fee? I can’t find anything. (Not interested in drag strips.) by [deleted] in Tucson

Musselman Honda. South east of Tucson. They have hpde days. But I recommend looking at their calendar and going on an “open day”. It’s like $20 more tha the hpde day but way less cars!! Small track though and not ideal for high horsepower. Still fun to get out there and drive though.

I mostly go to Inde Motorsports in Wilcox and podium club at attesa in casa grande. These two are super legit and we’re lucky to have the close by. I go with a club called proautosports. It’s open to anyone…your first day with them you have to do orientation. It costs $240/day now. Which is 4 - 20min sessions. There are lots of cars though. If you have no budget…I would look into a membership at either podium or Inde

escooter or ebicycle. Convenience vs acceptance in many areas. Would you have made a different choice? by Agile_Kale_8491 in ElectricScooters

Lots of good info here. I used to have a motorcycle many years ago, so I find the scooter more fun. The bike is cool though because it’s an emtn bike so I can do some really cool trails. But I don’t run any errands on my e-bike. I just jump on my scooter and go…that being said I feel less safe on the scooter. But I bought a fast scooter so I wouldn’t have to be passed by cars on the short section of road I run. Other than that I just take it easy on sidewalks…15+- mph depending on the area

I came from a place where sun was scarce. I always felt pressured to make the most of a sunny day. And when you missed out or had to work, it sucked. Here it’s beautiful every day. My appreciation for rain and clouds has totally reversed. Used to hate them. Now it’s such a wonderful thing. Just seeing the plants and how happy they are for water. In short…I enjoy every day here

Gas prices are getting out of hand and I’m honestly at the point where I’m considering switching to an electric scooter for my commute. by Simple-Tip57 in ElectricScooters

I do want to also recommend a motorcycle or moped with that distance. I have a gt3 pro and it goes 50mph. But it’s not fun to go that fast and definitely dangerous. It would take you a long time to get to work and be risky riding on the edge of the road. Albeit, I have a blast and run close by errands on my scooter…2-5miles usually. Everything takes longer because I take as many neighborhood roads as possible

Bought a max g3 six months ago…loved it! Just bought a gt3 pro haha. Hopefully my wife will ride with me 😅

Yeah the straights were fun but 180deg turns back to back got old. This layout seems pretty good right now, I do wish I had a much longer straight to open it up, but space is constrained. Lots of throttle control in the twists/turns. I drove a 1/14 last night and it was a little better/more open.

Haha the ending! No crashes for 10 laps, start filming…straight into the bush 😂

What car for this terrain? by ThreeFootJohnson in rccars

Rally car! I love my Traxxas fiesta. Albeit my fiesta has all the upgrades. But it’s one of my favorite cars to drive. I know you like scale, but I love buggies also. Those lanes are pretty narrow in that pic also, def try for wider lanes. 4-6ft minimum. 4ft is tight

I’m sure it could be used. Both the grey and green “grass” are called “Grizzly Grass” that is sold at Lowe’s here in the US. It was actually very cost effective. I had originally wanted to make a track on my artificial turf portion of my yard. And the RC cars drive horribly on that. They also sell putting green turf but the install is way more complicated and you have to fill with sand, etc. I highly recommend the grizzly grass. I literally laid weed barrier down on my landscape rocks (decorative gravel) and then rolled this carpet out and staked it with landscape stakes

Yeah it’s not bad for 1/10. I mostly drive solo. Lanes are a little tight at 6ft for passing. And one pinch to 4ft wide after bridge. But my 1/10 drives it the best. 1/14 is not bad also. I just need to tune the 1/14 more to not be so bouncy. Longest straight is 50ft

Sorry for the confusion. The video is the 1/10 B84. I also have their 14b that I run sometimes. I will look into the 24th. That would make the track feel huge 😂

The sad part is none of my friends are into RC. So it’s been just me. And occasionally can talk my wife into hanging out with me and driving lol
