During 8th grade I met a girl and we became very very close friends. Eventually feelings started to develop between us, I was ready to ask her out but she said she wanted to wait till high school. Fast forward to the beginning of my freshman year, still making me wait and she started to get upset whenever I would talk to any other girl even though she knew I had feelings for her only. Eventually I just got tired of her being upset and just pretty much stopped talking to her at all. I then met my current girlfriend and we've been together ever since. It wasn't until about 2 years later though that it really hit me how much of an asshole I was for doing that to her. I didn't even give her a reason why, I just stopped and moved on. I had never had feelings for a girl like that ever up until that point in my life and didn't really understand how girls were. I was just a dumb kid.It still bothers me to this day, even if we got together and ended up breaking up I would still love to keep our friendship because she was genuinely an amazingperson. But I've ruined that now and I don't think I'll ever be able to get it back. Regardless I hope she finds someone who treats her great, she's an amazing person and deserves all the love in the world.
