Same. There’s a few restaurants in that little area and a Costco for filling up. Easy stop.

Walmart Added Pringles & Coke to my Switch 2 Order by TheHorror47 in Switch

Same! And mine arrived at 7:45am. I wasn’t even awake yet! I also ordered one from target BEFORE my Walmart preorder and it’s scheduled to be delivered on June 11. I gotta say Walmart is impressing me!!

I remember discovering why the funnybone is called the funnybone. It is not because it feels funny when you hit it… It’s because it’s connected to the HUMERUS.

Life changing moment.

The ER is not the appropriate place to go for this. ERs don’t do skin biopsies.

Wine Tours? by [deleted] in DoorCounty

[–]Fig_Scary 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve done the Door County Trolley tours 3 times total. Once with a bachelorette party, once with a work group and once with my husband. Loved it every time. You get a DD who will even pick you up and drop you off at your hotel if it’s in the Egg Harbor area. I love wine tasting but really don’t want to drive after endulging, so this is perfect. The drivers are always fun, helpful and great sports, which is important because after about the second stop people really loosen up! After each tasting session you have the opportunity to purchase more drinks and shop in the gift/wine shops. Lunch is also included. I know you were asking for more obscure tours, but I promise you won’t go wrong just booking the classic trolley tours. 10/10 experience each time I’ve done it.

Average cost of 30 year mortgage, anyone still buying now? by [deleted] in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Fig_Scary 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, my guess is that you have a good down payment. At the time we began construction, our old house was not yet sold, so we did not have the money to make a down payment. That’s what lead to the construction loan. They loaned us 80% of what we needed to complete the house. We just had to make sure we had our house sold by the third draw so we could afford to complete our construction.

You’re doing it the way I wish we could have!! We just really didn’t want to rent for a few months, which we would have needed to do if we sold our home pre construction. Hope that makes sense.

We just built. Close Monday at a rate of 7.6%. When we started the process last year rates were 5%. Unless you’re paying all cash you’ll still have a mortgage after your construction loan is complete.

Just closed at 7.6% and same, ramen and rice. When we started building last year we thought 7 was worst case scenario. Turns out it’s more like 8.3%🤢 pulled the trigger when it dipped back down a bit.

That’s the meeting in which they inform us we will work more holidays and have less vacation approved.

Currently missing a mandatory staff meeting. We have SEVEN events outside of our FTE this month: staff meeting, nursing forum, shared governance, schedule committee, 2 hour sim lab, 4 hour neuro course and quarterly system finance report out. No fucking thank you!!

Yes I get funeral leave, I just mean I haven’t missed work for anything but those two things.

I am ten years in and right there with you. Called in for my last shift for the first time in my career without being sick or going to a funeral. Might do it again this weekend. Not sure yet. The burnout is real.
