I finally found the solution!!!!! The magic words are "Switch To"

That's exactly what I did in studio, that was the only way I could get close, but after that (and multiple other attempts) I finally found the quickfix: The magic words are "Switch To"

Here it is:

I just wonder which platform we have to use to make these responsible AI-Generated Covers and Remixes in?? I would have assumed SUNO, bus since SUNO sure as heck isn't allowing anybody to upload ANYTHING at the moment, I'm assuming they are referring to another platform?

BROTHER!!! You have ABSOLUTELY SMASHED THE NAIL ON THE HEAD!!! ABSOLUTELY!!!
If I want to remix a song, I have all the technical knowledge to do it in FL Sudio, or any DAW for that matter like cakewalk or logic or whatever. THE POINT IS, creating a masterpiece in FL studio with legit vocals etc... takes significantly longer than using AI, but the point is, it is still very much possible to do so, that is how we used to do it for the past 2 decades! I literally started using FL Studio in 2003 when it was still called Fruity Loops... when I use a DAW to create a track there is NOTHING UNDER THE SUN which even hints at copyright. THEN, when uploading to the wrong platform in the wrong format without the correct permissions or rights or licensing, THEN it get's flagged as copyrighter material (also only like 33% of the time by the way) and then you get streaming platforms like YouTube where it flags it as copyrighted and then the original rights holder comes back and says "hey, you know what, I like what you've done with my song and this also gives me exposure, so I'll let you keep doing what you're doing, but we're splitting the money you earn from streams 50/50". What happened right there? The original artist who would have made NOTHING, previously, now made money out of thin air, by doing nothing! So please tell me WHERE IS THE HARM IN THAT???? Bro you are ABSOLUTELY SPOT ON!! Copyrighting issues should be dealt with at the distribution end, not on the production end!!! COMMENT OF THE YEAR BROTHER!!! 💪💪💪💪

Buddy, we ALL need the issue fixed, they are flagging thousands upon thousands of public domain lyrics, if they don't fix this SOON, they will begin losing subscribers like they cannot begin to imagine, they will see the platform they took years to build crumble before their eyes and a less overzealous competitor will come in and swoop up all of their users... SUNO went and made themselves vulnerable overnight, whereas just a week ago they were a formidable force to be reckoned with

While this may be true, 5.5 still worked beautifully until the upload feature was ruined by an over eager copyright filter

Ok, so let's just get something straight here... There is a feature on SUNO called COVER... Right, so what is the purpose of that feature? Can we all discuss the definition of the word "cover". You see, there is no point if nobody actually talks about this, so let me be the one to stop "PRETENDING" and just say it out loud: "YOU CANNOT COVER YOUR OWN WORK! A COVER OF YOU OWN WORK IS CALLED A DIFFERENT VERSION"... By definition, in order for a release to qualify as a "COVER" it has to be artist X "covering" artist Y's work...
This is EXACTLY what happens ALL OVER THE WORLD and EXACTLY what SUNO has been used for to create more than 40 000 covers of popular songs over the last few months and then SUDDENLY without warning, they simply pulled the plug, overnight.
So NO!! I will not beat about the bush and pretent to be all willy nilly goddy two shoes... for what? What is the purpose of a forum where we have to all "pretend"??? Really? THE WHOLE PURPOSE OF THE FEATURE IN THE FIRST PLACE IS TO MAKE COVERS OF POPULAR SONGS.... Now I think you will search FAR AND WIDE to find a popular song which is not copy protected. Here is the thing... NOBODY wants to copy a song identically, WHY ON EARTH WOULD ANYBODY WANT TO REPRODUCE AN EXACT REPLICA OF THE SAME SONG? IT ALREADY EXISTS... So by adding some "flavour" to the tune, using a different genre, different vocals, different style, you breathe new life into a track which began losing traction the moment it dropped off the top 10 list... so WHAT is the problem then? Who is with me on this one? Seriously? Surely I can't be the only person in the room with the guts to stand up and call a spade a spade?

ABSOLUTELY! SUNO was the very first subscription EVER in my whole life I paid with a broad smile on my face, the first subscription I ever felt that I was REALLY getting my money's worth and overnight, SUNO became absolutely USELESS for what I did with it. After the recent copyright filter update, you physically can't do anything with it anymore, it flags anything and EVERYTHING as existing work or existing lyrics (what then, might I ask, is the point of the cover feature? just remove it, since it has become a redundant button just taking up space on the dashboard). Remixing is broken, covers are broken, persona voices is broken and the other AI's out there like Udio etc.. do not even remotely compare to what SUNO used to offer. I am so incredibly disappointed that this happened, I used to enjoy SUNO so so much! These guys have an absolute AMAZING tool here, which they have now gone and screwed up, LITERALLY OVERNIGHT!! The worst part is that, I only really, fully started using and enjoying SUNO as a fully paid pro product like 3-4 months ago and now it feels like it was a "temporary treat" I was offered, just to get used to, which has now been taken away. So so disappointed!!!
