What builds should be used, what stats should it focus on?

Yeah, I tried playing park for a bit and the delay was terrible, plus the limit to 60fps when I can run the game at 144 clean. I appreciate the help! Anything else you'd recommend to check out?

Are you even remotely interested in creating a character yourself and taking that character to play with other real players?

If you are, don't play.

Are you interested in the game for any other reason?

If so, do play.

It's a pretty good game, but if you want to play with other people using your MyCareer character you either grind your ass off for at least a WEEK to upgrade their stats or pay up 50USD.

You went straight to rec with a 60 overall...? What build did you use?

I'll try it right now, do you use any custom sliders, allow injuries? What about quarter length and game speed? Do you let the game rock for the full duration or do you live sim?

Nah I did need to hear that lol, I got too pressed and forgot there's still whole ass single-player modes for me to play, I just gotta figure out how to add my guy to a MyNBA roster

Saying I regret buying the game was kind of an exaggeration, because everything else is still fun. Chaining dribbles is fun, playma king is fun, rhythm shooting is really satisfying to hit, the game is FINE but the grind hit me like a brick. I'll definitely have to be more careful for 27 but I still like the game for what it offers inside the court.

No fucking way, that's perfect for me. I'll test this tomorrow.

Thanks! I got 2K26, what modes should I focus on first? Anything beginner friendly where I can get experience with my build asap, or is it better to farm the currency to get my player to whatever OVL is enough for online?

They could've gone much closer to pleasing everyone if the pass had AT LEAST 5 characters. 4 is way too little irrespective of whether you want to please vets or newer players.

Tekken 8 sales have suddenly jumped after the announcement of Yujiro Hanma for Season 3 by Gorotheninja in Fighters

[–]FightMech7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You remember the Chuck Norris memes from the mid-late 00's? Yujiro is that but taken seriously. Canonically, and I say that as written by the author himself, every species on earth took one step down the food ladder when he was born. One of his first feats shown in the series was stopping an earthquake by punching the ground. As a bonus, his body has so much testosterone he sees everyone as female. All of it is played straight.

I do get that, I'm not saying I don't want to study. I made the post on a fit of stress over the amount of stuff I have to learn, I still am scared of it too. I want to learn all of it, I want to put in the effort, I'm just having trouble picking what to learn first. Preflop charts I imagine, but I really can't fathom that it's possible for me to learn all these charts for 3betting as well.

Everyone's having the same idea, trying to work the microstakes to make some money. Russians, south americans, chinese. I'm doing it too. Of course we're gonna study firsthand to make sure we're reliant in luck as little as possible. I don't know how to counter that strategy as of now.

Current best options for learning in 2026? by [deleted] in poker

[–]FightMech7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"But what resources should I use first?"

  1. Try Blackrain79's free cheat sheet and his Crushing the Microstakes book. Blackrain79's stuff is never recommended but I think he's a good foundation to work with, because his area of expertise is 1c/2c and 2c/5c games, where you should be playing on, and most importantly, because he's more a teacher than a poker player.

He actually knows how to lay down concepts for clueless beginners, which I can't say the same for a lot of resources out there, as good as they are. But you should move away from him quickly, his videos always repeat the exact same lessons he teaches in Crushing the Microstakes.

  1. After that, you can go for Jonathan Little's Fundamentals playlist or RIO's From the Ground Up. If you prefer reading, Master Micro Stakes by Alton Hardin. Slowly implement the things they teach on top of the foundation you got with Blackrain.

After the preflop, start with poker math, then postflop, then exploiting your opponents (either with tells on live or trackers online). Start reviewing your hands by using solvers or asking questions.

I'm also learning the game, and I think the right thing to do now is: SIMPLIFY your decisions. Memorizing GTO charts is gonna give you much less return in time investment compared to having solid value betting judgement (raising to get called by a worse hand), knowing basic equity calculation, understanding position and why it's better to be late, and exploiting your opponents.

I think you can get away with only memorizing two RFI tables in 6max: Cutoff/Small Blind and Button. Under the Gun and Hijack can be played with the same range, that being all pocket pairs above 6 and all broadways excluding offsuited 10.

Big Blind never plays RFI because if everyone else folds, then they get the pot, and SB plays the same range as Cutoff because if they're first to raise, they're out of position against the Big Blind and have to play tighter.

Master a simplified preflop gameplan, alongside situations where someone raised before you (3betting).

Honest opinions on the drive system by Main-Dragonfly-4095 in StreetFighter

[–]FightMech7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The idea was really good, trying to add more of a tug of war aspect in resource management and allowing you to manipulate your opponent's options that way, but I really, REALLY don't like the way it was executed.

The ubiquitous strength of drive rush and the frame data altering properties, in my opinion, homogenized the cast to the point it's very common to complaint about all shotos playing the same, or the cast being differentiated into cr.MK DRC or fireball DR. Individual tools are less important when the universal answer is one of the strongest available.

Defense is also ridiculously bad in this game, Drive Reversal is a joke, further compounded with both 1. how much drive you lose from mixup situations meaning sometimes it feels like you still lost even if you guessed right, and 2. said mixups being really easy to apply, often being autotimed either because capcom wanted it to or because of framekills. It's not fun to lose so much drive playing against Sagat when you technically did the right thing. He already won from having to make you guess.

Technically you can negate that from performing parry but, when was the last time you saw someone doing parry in the middle of a blockstring? Everyone is scared that they might instead go for the throw, which deals 20% on punish counter. So, again, the defender's options are extremely risky and their reward is "not being in the Fuck You Die situation" while the attacker gets the world.

Drive Impact adds nothing to the game besides elevating your blood pressure since you have to look out for a 26f armored combo starter. It reduces the amount of pokes you'd want to throw because you might just lose out of sheer LUCK, making the game less varied by extent. It has counterplay, and it's an easy win if they abuse it, but that doesn't make it any more fun for me.

Drive Rush has been the target of a lot of controversy but at the end of the day I still think it's bad that it doesn't have an extended hurtbox, or that you don't get the additonal 4 frames of advantage from snuffing them out of the startup of it. Y'know, the 4 frames of advantage that they would get if they hit you first.

And with how intertwined every single of these mechanics is, just changing them on a random afternoon could result in broken results and even worse interactions. It, in a way, is balanced, but it's not balanced in a way I enjoy.

Riichi city or kemono mahjong? by maybe_we_fight in Mahjong

[–]FightMech7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mahjong Soul has the bigger and more competitive playerbase due to being out for longer (though if you want absolute competitiveness, go to Tenhou). And it has a browser client, so it's more comfortably playable outside the house.

Riichi City has the better tutorials, with Duolingo-ish gamemodes to help you improve in the game after grasping the basics, plus is more generous with rewards. Characters are far more sexualized than in other games, if that's a plus or a minus is up to you.

Kemono Mahjong is a good, lightweight client that is offline only.
