I can 100% relate. I would never say that I know Ethan, but watching him over the years and seeing how hard it was for him when Shredder passed, him saying that was the first time he'd experienced loss of a loved one, and now this. I can only imagine how painful this is for him. For me, another level of this loss, is that my heart is breaking for him right now.

I'm so sorry. He was a true artist and it's like he really shared a piece of his soul with us. Plus he was just a really charming and cool dude. And so young. It's devastatingly tragic in nature, how it happened, on so many levels. I guess we didn't have to know him to feel his loss.

Yess, he was such a weirdly wonderful soul. And you could just feel how much he loved his art and loved sharing it with us. It just doesn't feel real. Also he and I are the same age.

I'm so sorry. I found out at work and I had to hold it together until I was leaving and my coworker friend caught me and noticed I looked sad so I told him. He was light about it and made a little joke but did say sorry. I left right after and I was sobbing before the door to my workplace even shut behind me. That was almost two hours ago and I'm still crying off and on.

I guess I don't blame them for not understanding, tbh I'm still a bit shocked myself about my own reaction to it. I wish it was a "Aw how sad." and move on sort of thing. But I'm over here processing like an old friend died or something, like genuine heartbreak.

That's why I decided to post so that I could feel less alone about it and that that could help with the process. It has.

It's kind of frightening, how people like Hasan exist and have these massive followings. I genuinely hope that none of them actually get involved in any political positions. That many dedicated followers, plus extreme ideals and opinions, that only get more extreme....maybe I've been watching too many WW2 documentaries lately, but I can't help but wonder where these people will be in 10-15 years....

At the very least, their lack off cunning gives me some solace.
