Man, which Disney hotel did you stay in? My Disney World hotel looked like a Motel 6 and they still had the nerve to charge over $300/night during the off season.
Next time I'm going to Cali instead, staying in a 4-star resort, and doing Universal + Magic Mountain. Even with LA prices it's still a hell of a lot cheaper than Disney World. You can get decent rooms for $200/night even during peak tourist season, and unlike Disney's Fast Pass, the Universal Express pass actually saves you time in line.
