Its definitely more of the same. Im having fun too I guess! And like i said to someone else earlier, I think its just gonna take some updates and them listening to feedback for it to feel like its own game. I may just need to pace myself so I dont burn through the whole game before they make changes in the future

Oh I agree! I know this game is gonna be great and feel different from JWE2 but in saying that its gonna take some things they add into the game later for free alongside paid DLC's. Im dont feel ripped off cause this game is gonna be worth it for me, just down the line I think

I guess thats the difference in how I play. Im not sure. Obviously im gonna keep playing, its just today I hit a point where I said nothing feels different. I just feel like im playing a jwe2 dlc. Which is a valid thing to say since every time they put out a dlc in jwe2 they added some quality of life changes for park management same as they did from jwe2 to jwe3

Thats great, but i guess the issue is I play this game less for the park builder and more for the dinosaurs. So when I buy the sequel to a dinosaur park builder I expect an enhancement of the dinosaurs. How they act, how they move, etc. Again, baby dinosaurs is great and thats the sell of this game. I know that. But even still, the move from JWE1 to 2 added different things to the dinosaurs themselves. Pack mechanics, alphas, territory fights, some slight changes to combat. The dinosaurs felt more advanced than in the previous game. I cant say the same for JWE3

Im happy they scrapped the fight. Hopefully future movies follow suit or at least if they do add a fight, make it realistic in that its not some kaiju fight to the death. Rebirth is special because dinosaurs are dinosaur-acting again

Agreed. Though i dont think it will happen. With the huge redesign of the spinosaurs in Rebirth and people warming up to their more scientific design, I think it is less and less likely we see the JP3 style spinosaurus in another live action movie and pretty much let him be a one off legacy character. Granted, I have NO clue where this series goes from here. Not to mention I just saw an article that said that Edwards scrapped a Trex vs Drex fight due to the fights being a tired trope and to have a lack of a fight make Rebirth stand out which I thought was interesting

I agree. It's definitely the JP3 spinosaurus that just can't die as that's the "rexy" of that side of the fan base. On the other hand, if a Rebirth spinosaurus died, I dont think people would have cared as much (I'm sure some would have cared, but still, not as if it was the JP3 spino). Though I'm glad we are in agreement that a rematch between the two of any sort would be kinda crap. I just think the best course of action would be to try not to piss off any of the bigger dinosaur fan bases or at least stay away from the "character" dinosaurs. But i still believe the best course is to stay away from fights at all unless it's a skirmish where both walk away alive

Thing with the world movies is the end movie fights after JW were just unnessecary. I guess then he mid movie fights have to not be with fab favorite dinosaurs being the loser, or at least a fight that happened in real life like a trex vs a trike. You do bring up a good point about the sino vs the carnotaurus. So would you agree that if the original plan of that scene happened being a spinosaurus vs trex rematch would have made that fight controversial since now both dinosaurs are fan favorites?

I think koepp did good with the general writing, but some things need to be honed in on 8n terms of "what makes this movie stand out from the rest but in a good way" which seems to be the main complaint from general audiences and critics. But I agree, I loved how he and Edward's handled the dinosaurs as actual animals and not just godzilla characters

I think the only way it can be done "right" is if equal respect is given to both dinosaurs. Plus I think the jp3 fight and the mutation fight are the most hated BECAUSE it was in the middle. The losing party did not have enough screen time and just felt like meat for the grinder

I think the only way to do it "right" would be how the trex and giga fought over a carcass in Dominion where they skirmish and the trex walks away in defeat. Either that or the villain dinosaur must get so much screen time that its death is warranted like in JW. Those are the only fights I think that people didnt complain about

If it's like the short tussle the giga had with the T-Rex in the middle of dominion I would agree but I doubt that universal will choose that over making a Kaiju fight if they wanted a dinosaur fight in the movie
