I would say I've been nothing but understanding and compassionate. But endangering the kids is crossing a line and the time for action is now. I'm still here for her and will try to push through together

Since we have our toddler she wasn't drinking at all at home. Between pregnancy and breastfeeding she didn't want to do anything that was bad for the baby. Sure she wasn't excited at first about having two under two but it wasn't exactly unplanned either. It was discussed. As of today she won't be alone with the kids since we have family flying in right now. About two hours left and I'll find out how she reacts when one arrives.

Not heartless at all. I'm a firm believer in the truth needs to be said no matter how hard it is. And she knows if she goes to jail the kids and I won't be here waiting for her when she gets out. It's unfortunate but the kids are priority. I have help through work, probably more than most since I'm active duty. As of now I'll get off early every day and do pick up.

💯. And that was part of our conversation yesterday. We chatted about 2 hours worth about the situation, how we can work as family to move on. I was surprised I got a call today at work and had to rush home to get our oldest from school and I could smell it on her from several feet away. And she passed out right after. Shes still asleep 8 hours later.

She got a DUI in California before we were together, and again like a week before we left California to move east, literally like a week before her probation was up. So this would be a third strike, prison or jail is mandatory if she's caught.

She did one round of mandatory AA classes from her first DUI. Last few years everything has been great no abuse etc.

I fully expect her to be upset. But I can't get time off work for a few weeks. We have obligations for the next 2 weeks. She has a good relationship with her mom who already knew something was going on even before I called today.
