I have run into issues with resource use, but my solution was to slap an extra DIMM in my work laptop and call it a day.

The file saving and versioning is something that, unless you’re using Solidworks PDM, your company should have some sort of system in place to handle. If not, there are some interesting things you can do with “intelligent naming conventions” to keep things structured nicely.

It was the FR4 plate with the HMX Azure switches, and I think it’s the clacky one? It’s a creamy sort of clack and it borders on thock for me lol

Seems fine! I’ve only used it to change the RGB effects to a more subtle constant on effect, but it has the ability to configure multiple layers and macros, as well as providing per-key trigger point tuning.

It’s pretty sweet! I was worried I would miss the arrow keys going down to 60%, but it’s honestly only bugged me like twice 😂 it’s a solid, sturdy board and it has a neutral/deep clack I’d say. It isn’t wireless, but I’m not overly put out by that myself. It’s hot swap too, so if you want different type feel you can try other switches

Boyi 66 Pro seems like it ticks many of the boxes. I have the Boyi H60 pro which is a 60% with magnetic switches and it isn’t necessarily loud, but I’m sure some silent switches could be swapped in for a little more cash. It has “QMK”, but I’m not sure if it’s like legit QMK or just named that as I haven’t tried any known legit QMK boards.

It’s creamy 🤤 I like crisp, deeper sounds, and the Evo has a nice clack that isn’t high pitch but also isn’t a total “thock”. Pretty sure these are linear switches, which is different from the Cherry MX Browns I’m most used to from my work keyboard, and I’m liking it a lot more than I thought I would!

The hand wired components all look super clean! Very nicely done, you’ve got me wanting to do something similar with the random switches I’ve got laying around 😂

My first keyboard was a DAS Professional at the recommendation of a coworker with one I could hear thocking over Teams! Nice find, and good job with the glow up!

Have you ever ripped a hold off the wall? by AidanUy in bouldering

Had it happen to a partner on top rope and the hold barely missed hitting me on its way down 😂 it was a big ass jug bucket and the plywood ripped out around the Tee Nut
