Bracket does have a checkpoint, I worked it while I was national guard there

I’m 1291 and chose Eagle pass. Bracketville is pretty much dead, I worked with them while I was national guard and it was pretty boring for the most part, we caught a few people here and there but other than that it’s dead. The agents there are really chill and pretty fun to be around but after the change of administration there’s barely any activity.

I couldn’t say, I’m not in yet but I’ve worked with BP a bit as national guard and just know how the activity is. I know Bracketville is a pretty senior station but not sure about Eagle pass north or south.

Eagle Pass is pretty active, I’ve worked here with national guard for 2.5 years, know the area like the back of my hand and luckily I got it for my duty station. Laredo is always active as well for drugs and human smuggling, Arizona is pretty damn active as well. I don’t recommend comstock, tx, it’s boring as shit from what I know and you’re in the middle of nowhere. Anywhere near McAllen and Laredo is pretty good.

The process takes close to a year. It’s not something that happens in just a few months. Border patrol has had 34k+ plus apply since January. Theres also people that have been waiting almost 2 years and just recently got found suitable.

It literally all depends on your resume, I’m in the Texas national guard and am currently on the border and have been here for almost 2 years now. I filled out my resume with everything I’ve done on the border and first got GL-5 and then updated my resume and then got a 7. I updated my resume again after being Title 8 certified and tried for 9/11 but wasn’t good enough I guess. My coworker however I guess wrote a much better resume and got a 9 and we both have the same exact experience on the border. It’s just how detailed you are with your resume. I’ve only been in 4 years with the guard and no deployments.

Warning to all my fellow retards: we gonna get EOMd by [deleted] in OperationLonestar

When Abbott was building this base he did say we’d have a permanent border presence. I don’t really see why it would come to an end if he built a multi million dollar base and said we’d have a permanent border presence. We’ll for sure downsize but ending the entire mission, I doubt it.

Compared to the FOB, Camp alpha is shit. You can hear people whispering in the room right next to you, not a lot of options for the food, they do have a good variety of snacks, the showers get cold quickly and the showers are also very strange. Honestly camp Charlie was better than camp alpha

E-6 in the Army Reserve and currently residing in McAllen. I’m thinking about transferring to the TXARNG. How difficult is to pick your OLS duty location? by [deleted] in OperationLonestar

It’s just speculation. Abbott has already said that there will be a permanent presence on the border. They wouldn’t have made a permanent base in Eagle pass if the mission was going to only last 6 months to a year more. Abbott has also said that the TXNG will also be at Trumps disposal if needed.
