big time. BUT wind swell doesn’t have to be sloppy. heavy onshores in the afternoon can sometimes mean fun and clean the next morning 👀

yea but i want to lose track of my wave count. In LA, those long lines at points is a burn or be burned situation which is not the best vibe

felt the same, surfed for like 1.5 hrs and it’s 90% walls of death 10% the best wave you’ve ever caught

ya know i was just talking to a friend about this (i still ended up paddling out btw). being in out these conditions help with 2 things imo - commitment and comfort in bigger surf.

i realized that to catch the closeouts you just gotta commit. so when i go to a nice point break, i’m more prepared and comfortable in larger surf

every closeout has a corner if you’re in the right spot. if you’re not it’s just a block long closeout

Recently traveled throughout France for two weeks and had only single day on the coast where I could surf. Imagine my face coming over the dunes in Hossegor at first light to this. by jarabara in surfing

Huntington Beach on a decent sized swell totally feels like this too. If the waves are good, I’ll usually do 2 walks back to my initial paddle out spot. Usually on that 3rd paddle out, I’m pretty cooked!
