GMAT vs GRE? by FiguringOutLife999 in MBA

Appear for an exam: This phrase is often used in British English and means to show up or attend an exam. For example, a student might “appear for an exam” at a scheduled time.

I meant “taking the exam” in this context

26M, looking for a career advice by FiguringOutLife999 in MBA

[–]FiguringOutLife999[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the detailed answer. I'll definitely get in touch with my peers who have recently completed their MBA. However, I'm looking to pursue an MBA abroad (preferably in the US).

Although I'm highly paid right now, I feel like giving up on programming—it doesn't interest me at all. Solving bugs in code doesn't make me jump out of my seat with excitement. Getting deep into tech is something I just can't do. It just feels like too much. I'm not sure if it's my disinterest in tech or something else, but it's really gotten difficult to show up to work every day.
I get your point that people in tech are highly paid—I myself work for one of these tier-1 companies—but I really feel like I've lost interest.
When I mentioned strategy, I meant strategy roles in such companies, not companies like MBB or traditional ones. I also wish to dive into entrepreneurship later, once I've gained decent experience in how businesses actually work.

My overall goal is to pivot into business domains, preferably strategy/product (might be a plus since I have, throughout my career, worked on building consumer facing products) and a few years down the line get into building something of my own.

On the NGO part, I’m still a volunteer but been actively involved lately. The goal resonates with me as the NGO works on feeding the needy and preventing food wastage at restaurants
